Please indicate any Growth of the Game initiatives your facility/academy has launched over the past year (please give specifics on such programs):
Over the past year, WRGolf has expanded and refined its community-based golf programs, designed to make the sport accessible and engaging for all ages and skill levels. Will Robins and his team at WRGolf have established Junior Spring and Summer Camps, a Junior Year-Round Program, a Collegiate Program, Ladies Clinics, and an Adult Group Coaching Program. These initiatives foster skill-building, confidence, and enthusiasm for the game in a supportive environment.

Adult Program – Guaranteed Results
Will Robins’ approach to adult golf coaching emphasizes results over traditional instruction. By focusing on simplifying the game and fostering a “play-to-score” mindset, the program guarantees players will drop 10 shots in 10 weeks or receive continued coaching for free. This philosophy has attracted adult players who resonate with Will’s journey of overcoming obstacles, like his experience surviving the 2004 Thailand Tsunami. Through the adult program, students learn to trust their abilities and overcome overthinking, with many achieving significant improvements in their scores. Free community workshops on topics like “10 Keys to Scoring” and “Golfing Maturity” draw 30-40 participants each and offer ongoing support to the local golf community.

Ladies Clinics
In line with the PGA’s goal to grow the game among women, WRGolf offers Ladies Clinics designed to provide a welcoming environment for new and intermediate female players. These clinics include exclusive sessions for EWGA members and general clinics open to all. By catering specifically to women, WRGolf reduces the intimidation factor and creates a community of support, which has led to a notable increase in participation.

Junior Programming
WRGolf’s mission, “Making champions in golf and life,” is deeply integrated into its junior programs. These include year-round coaching, First Tee life skills integration, spring and summer camps, and a Junior Development Tour that teaches juniors to compete at skill-appropriate levels. Each junior progresses through a structured “hat system” based on scoring achievements, akin to martial arts belts. This innovative approach, launched over a decade ago, enables juniors to see tangible progress, fostering both skill advancement and a love for the game. Currently, WRGolf has over 90 kids enrolled in its junior programs and hosts monthly tournaments with sold-out attendance.

Collegiate and Advanced Programming
For juniors aspiring to collegiate golf, WRGolf offers a College Path Mentoring Program, providing guidance on academic and athletic preparation, including workshops on the college application process. Since its inception, the program has supported 13 students in securing collegiate scholarships. Additionally, the Mastery Series provides students with intensive training sessions in areas like Mental Mastery and Short Game Mastery, which have proven successful for players aiming to compete at higher levels.

Expansion to Indoor
Will Robins Golf has taken a forward-thinking approach to expand access to year-round training by partnering with X-Golf in El Dorado Hills, CA, creating an indoor learning environment for Junior and Advanced students. This innovative move allows students to continue honing their skills regardless of weather conditions and provides them with access to advanced technology that enhances their overall golf experience. At X-Golf, students benefit from state-of-the-art simulators that analyze every aspect of their game, enabling precise adjustments and fostering consistent improvement. This partnership not only keeps students engaged throughout the year but also brings an exciting, tech-driven dimension to their training, ensuring that players at every level stay motivated and supported in their journey to mastery.

Community Engagement and Family Programs
WRGolf’s bi-annual Parent-Junior Tournament strengthens the community aspect of the sport by allowing juniors to compete alongside their parents, fostering family bonds through golf. This event, coupled with a hardship scholarship program and annual PGA Junior League participation, ensures that financial limitations do not hinder young players’ access to the game.
By creating programs that prioritize results, inclusivity, and community-building, WRGolf has not only expanded access to golf but also cultivated a supportive environment for players of all backgrounds. These initiatives continue to play a vital role in growing the game within the community and beyond.
