Please indicate any Growth of the Game initiatives your facility/academy has launched over the past year (please give specifics on such programs):
This year we have provided discounted adult group programming for beginners conducting 5 week classes covering the basics of the game. The "Golf Fundamentals" program has taken over 50 adults who have had no previous experience and introduced the game to them so they can enjoy playing on the course.

This year additionally I have added as staff coach. I specifcally sought a young aspiring professional who wanted to develop their coaching career and become a mentor to them. At this point in my career I think its my mission to help young professionals develop their coaching skills and help them navigate a coaching career. Teagan Miller joined my studio earlier this spring. He's an accomplished collegiate golfer as well as an instgram influencer in the golf space. In addition to servicing my members I am helping him develop his coaching career by improving his knowledge of the golf swing but also heloing him develop the skills beyond the lesson tee of communication and organization so he can succeed in this career.

Ive also collaborated with fellow GRAA Award Recipient Tyrus York from Lexington KY by flying him in to Bradenton Fl twice this year to conduct putting lessons with his Sam Putt Lab. While I am proficiant in general putting instruction it has not been my main focus the last several years. I wanted to be able to provide the best instruction available for my members so it was a very easy decision to bring Tryus in and share his expertise on putting with my members. Each time he flew in his lessons sold out and were recevied with high praise.

Please share any programming you have made to keep your customers & students engaged:
Our practice programming which is included in every membership is what separates us from any other Academy or Coach in the area. As part of the membership, each student gets practice time in the studio. The practice time is a scripted structured session designed by the coach based on where they are in the process. It's essentially a coach run practice session that does not exist in our sport. Our practice sessions focus on identifying the movement within the swing that needs to be developed, isolate it and rehearse it properly so it can be developed. This equates to doing drills that never includes the golf ball, and quite often does not include the golf club. We will use exercise bands, we will use medicine balls, we will use kettlebells, pvc pipe etc. in these practice sessions so they can really develop the movement pattern in a very deliberate way. Then after developing with the drill for a minimum of 5 reps, they will take get the club in their hands and without the ball execute the same movement several times. Finally the golf ball is introduced for a max of 5 attempts before they repeat the drills. This deliberate dedicated custom practice session allows me as their coach to be sure they are training the correct way to develop their game and not just hitting golf balls on a range. While I don't observe everything they do all the time in the training session, I will pop into the hitting bay to make make sure the movements are done correctly and they proceed on their own. Having developed this now since I opened my studio, those that buy in to this training program improve their game at a much faster rate than those that don't.
