Best range promotion: The revamping of our Coupon Books was and continues to currently be our best range promotion. Our previous coupon book consisted of five coupons, each good towards one large bucket of golf balls for the driving range. The coupon book is priced at a discounted rate, which rewards customers for pre paying with a savings on each bucket in the end. This year we decided to not only increase the amount of coupons in each book to ten buckets, but we also decided to offer coupon books for each bucket size (Small, Large & Super). With these additions customers are saving more money than before and they are also given more options for bucket sizes. The response from customers has been very good and as a result our coupon book sales have increased dramatically.
Special programs:
In addition to our multi-vendor demo day, we hosted many other single manufacturer demo & fitting days. We were also given the opportunity to host a new program from Titleist called “Titleist Thursday’s”. This program ran for initially ten weeks. During this time every Thursday, everyone was welcome to try out the new products launched by Titleist and customers were also given the opportunity to make appointments for complementary club fittings. This program was so successful, for both Titleist and our facility that we added an additional three weeks and just recently added an additional five weeks on top of that for the launch of the new 917 metals. All together these demo & fitting days have not only help our business with pro shop sales, but more importantly allowed customers to be able to try all the latest equipment. This is important to us because not only do we strongly believe in club fitting, but we also strongly believe in making our customers happy. Customers are overall thrilled to be able to have all these complementary resources before making such a large investment. Our customers leave knowing they made the right purchase and this in return makes for repeat customers.
This year we continue to help our local high schools and college golf teams. These teams have faced even more of a challenge this year with the already limited practice facilities available to them in this area. As a result we have seen an increase in not only teams but also the amount of practice time needed, and we are glad that we are able to accommodate them. For a discounted rate, teams are allowed two hour time slots, with the majority practicing at our facility a few times a week, where they are given unlimited use of the driving range, three-hole golf course and putting green. This allows players to be able to work on every aspect of their game, as well as being able to conduct mini-matches against other practicing teams in preparation for their upcoming matches.
In addition, we continue year after year to make charitable donations to our surrounding local communities. We help provide local fundraisers, schools, teams and groups with donated items, such as coupon books and merchandise in order to help support their cause. We feel it is important, especially with a small business, to give back to the communities that help and support us throughout the year.
