Mapel Golf Academy Putting & Short Game Bootcamps:

These learning experiences are mostly tailored for adults, but I have had junior golfers as young as 14 years old participate. I have also considered putting a similar program together for juniors and will continue to explore that possibility in the future. These boot camps welcome between 3 and 8 students per session. Each one-day Putting Boot Camp is approximately two hours long and begins with introductions and having each participant reveal what they believe are their self-perceived weaknesses in putting. We talk about types of putters, the importance of using the same brand and model of golf ball, and the training aids and stations used for that days camp. We then move on to the proper setup at address and the stroke itself using putting mirrors. During this time, each participant uses the Eyeline Golf Sight Line System to match their perception of their aim with its reality. After a brief break, we reconvene for drills that put an emphasis on speed and distance control. We also conduct games to put the student’s newfound skills to the test. Finally, we wrap up with a quick summary of important points, a brief chat about what they learned, and answer any questions they might have.

Please share any programming you have made to keep your customers & students engaged:
Most of my programming at the moment revolves around the short game and putting. We offer Putting and Chipping Boot Camps designed to not only help students to improve in these areas of the game, but to learn in a relaxed and fun environment. I also set up a “Putting Skills Assessment Test” on the main putting green to allow potential and current clients to test their skill on the greens. This provides me the opportunity to interact with prospective students, and enhance my value as an instructor to both future and current students alike.
