Please indicate any Growth of the Game initiatives your facility/academy has launched over the past year (please give specifics on such programs):
Our top growth of the game initiative is Operation 36. Since adding the Operation 36 curriculum to our golf academies in 2017 we have created over 649 golfers. By definition, a golfer is "created" when they have enrolled in our golf academy and played at least 9-holes from 25 yards and recorded scoring a 36 or better. Since 2017 we have had over 2,500 participants. We offer Op 36 programming for adults (men and ladies) and junior golfers ages 6-17.
Operation 36 is a structured multiple week commitment where golfers can enroll in weekly Academy Classes, Supervised Practices, and on course "Matches" where students play nine-holes from their "division" trying to score 36 or better. There are six different levels and students must pass all objectives in each level before ranking up to the next. We use the Operation 36 app and website to track their progress.
We also offer other programs including: private golf lessons, semi-private golf lessons, corporate clinics, a la carte clinics, ladies golf clinics, junior golf clinics, two hours bootcamps, summer junior golf camps, summer all sports camps (tennis, swim, golf), clubfitting, on course playing lessons, TPI fitness assessments, Drive/Chip/Putt Bootcamps, etc.
We also offer Sunday Future 36er junior golf clinics for ages 4-6 using Kate Tempesta's Birdie Basics.
This past year we also welcomed back our PGA Junior League program lead by Carson Okraska, Assistant Golf Professional.
Please share any programming you have made to keep your customers & students engaged:
Operation 36 has been our home run to keep customers and students engaged. We track their progress so we can measure how often they practice and play along with tracking their number of strokes lost (improvement). The long term curriculum provides structure along with the correct challenge point has been very successful for us. The long term curriculum keeps them committed and engaged through all the ups and downs during their journey in golf.
To keep students engaged we have also had success with: private golf lessons and clubfittings. On course playing lessons. Demo days. We use the Operation 36 curriculum for:
Juniors – 10 week fall semester, 8 week winter semester, and 10 week spring semester.
Ladies – 10 week fall semester, 8 week winter semester, 10 week spring semester, and 8 week summer semester.
Men – 10 week fall semester, 8 week winter semester, 10 week spring semester, and 8 week summer semester.
Sunday Future 36er clinics for juniors ages 4-6 using SNAG golf and Kate Tempesta's Birdie Basics.
Special a la carte clinics including topics: wedges distance control, putting distance control, "ultimate drill clinic."
Weekly Thursday morning 9:00a.m ladies clinic where the topics vary each week.
Two hour bootcamps that focus on either long game or short game and including mental game and course management tips.
Formerly have hosted speed clinics using both SuperSpeed and Rypstick products.
Drive, Chip, and Putt bootcamps to help prepare juniors for the drive, chip and putt qualifiers.
GCC hosted a PGA Junior League team this past summer led by Carson Okraska, Assistant Golf Professional.
Summer junior golf camps and Summer All Sports (tennis, swimming, golf) Camps.
With the increase in participation in our instruction programs we have also seen an increase in our golf tournament participation. Participation in our men's golf academy powered by Operation 36 more than doubled in participation from 2024 to 2025. We also offer parent/child tournaments, holiday tournaments, weekly Tuesday ladies day events, weekly Captains Cup men's golf summer league events, season long fourball match play tournaments for men, women, and couples. Member Member tournament, Member Guest Tournament, 1909 Invitational Member Guest, and one day Member Guest events.
