Please indicate any Growth of the Game initiatives your facility/academy has launched over the past year (please give specifics on such programs):
Since adding the Operation 36 curriculum to our golf academies in 2017 we have created over 590 golfers. By definition, a golfer is “created” when they have enrolled in our golf academy and played at least 9-holes from 25 yards and recorded scoring a 36 or better. Since 2017 we have had over 2,300 participants.
Operation 36 is a structured multiple week commitment where golfers can enroll in weekly Academy Classes, Supervised Practices, and on course “Matches” where students play nine-holes from their “division” trying to score 36 or better. There are six different levels and students must pass all objectives in each level before ranking up to the next. We use the Operation 36 app and website to track their progress.
We also offer other programs including: private golf lessons, semi-private golf lessons, corporate clinics, a la carte clinics, ladies golf clinics, junior golf clinics, two hours bootcamps, summer junior golf camps, summer all sports camps (tennis, swim, golf), clubfitting, on course playing lessons, TPI fitness assessments, Drive/Chip/Putt Bootcamps, etc.
We also offer Sunday Future 36er junior golf clinics for ages 4-6 using Kate Tempesta’s Birdie Basics.
Please share any programming you have made to keep your customers & students engaged:
Operation 36 has been our home run to keep customers and students engaged. We track their progress so we can measure how often they practice and play along with tracking their number of strokes lost (improvement). The long term curriculum provides structure along with the correct challenge point has been very successful for us. The long term curriculum keeps them committed and engaged through all the ups and downs during their journey in golf.
To keep students engaged we have also had success with: private golf lessons and clubfittings. On course playing lessons. Demo days. We use the Operation 36 curriculum for:
