Please share any programming you have made to keep your customers & students engaged:
This year we tried several new programs that have been not only successful, but exciting for our membership. We started with "Whiskey & Wedges" where we brought in a rep from a bourbon distillery, a master wedge fitter from Cobra Golf, and certifresh cigars. The 2-hour clinic featured tastings, informational seminar regarding bounce, sole design, shaft flex, and loft configuration; then we had players hit several different wedges to learn the difference. Due to the success of that clinic, we are hosting "Putters & Pints" in a couple weeks. We have a local microbrewer bringing seasonal beer, and a rep from Bettinardi Putters. We also have "Bloody's and Blades" coming next month which features iron design and fitting paired with Bloody Mary's.
Other popular programming included: Dyno Test Your Driver, where we run players through a quick 15 minute assessment and show how adjusting their current driver can help distance, carry, dispersion, and has led to several fittings.
Our popular Ladies Clinics have increased to 3 clinics per week, with each week focusing on a different topic. We run these year round and are consistently sold out.
Another popular addition has been "Golf Geek Clinics" where we take a deep dive into golf technology and show how we use tech to help players improve. We have run clinics focused on Swing Catalyst force plates, SAM Putting Studio, and Golf Shaft technology.
Lastly, since our club is very busy with play, on-course lessons are difficult to schedule, so I created a program where we do course management in the learning center. Using Google Earth and drawing tools, I cover every hole on the course and several "problem shots" showing how to best manage players way around the course.
