The most interesting growth of the game initiative at Quail West this past year was the creation of Q School. This is a 3 month competition where the goal is to improve the participants handicaps. We test the first day, test 6 weeks later, and then test another 6 weeks later. The winner is the person that drops the largest percentage off their handicap and the percentage drop in the testing results. They receive a prize. We used this event to coincide with our practice club, so the participants had a regular way of practicing the skills they needed to improve their handicap and test score.

I have an assortment of clinics that are offered to a variety of handicaps on a variety of topics. My goal for the Player Development Program at Quail West is to engage as many students as possible. we offer short game schools, on course skills clinics, weekly ladies clinics, practice club, putting clinics, junior golf clinics, and couples clinics.
