Best range promotion: We utilized our range in a number of ways. Our teeing ground is in circular form which allows us to have three different teeing areas. We have one for members only, one for members hosting guests, and another for our clinics, lessons, and for our junior academy. We host our Junior Golf Academy on the range four days each week for two hours per day. Our ladies clinic takes place on the range twice every week. We hold one session for beginners only and another for more advanced female golfers. A third teeing ground is also useful during our demo days. We host several companies for nearly five to seven hours on that given day. Even when our members are not playing golf on the course, our range draws a lot of attention allowing for our golf professionals on staff to stay very busy with club fittings. We have numerous club fittings per week, which helps us with club sales, but also allows for a private lesson for the member during that fitting session. During our annual Parent-Child tournament, we host a shotgun on the range for the parents with their children under the age of 10. We set up a 5-hole golf course with yardages varying from 30 to 115 yards and present trophies to all participants following the event.
Special programs: As a club, we participate in two very nice programs. We are a major supporter of Patriot Day. We run our event for three days as an additional tournament to our regular schedule for our members. We have a low gross division and a low net division par 3 contest on the four par 3ʼs that we have at our facility. The winner of the event received a Presidents Cup pin flag signed by Jack Nicklaus. Hosting the Memorial tournament every year opens the door for two special programs as well. We have a Military Appreciation Clinic, which is hosted by Jack Nicklaus and a Memorial Tournament Kids Day, which is also organized by our Memorial Tournament staff. Club House Kids is also a program that we run in which we send two of our assistant golf professionals to local elementary schools to teach them about the game of golf. The main object is to grow the game and to make the game seem fun for the younger generation who are mostly all involved with team sports. We use SNAG Golf, which utilizes larger plastic clubs, tennis balls, and a variety of different sized targets, which are placed all over their gymnasium. This program has grown and has become very popular and is not only fun for the kids, but is just as much fun for our professional staff.
