Please indicate any Growth of the Game initiatives your facility/academy has launched over the past year (please give specifics on such programs):
As a PGA Master Professional, growing the game is not just measured by providing programming, providing mentoring to fellow instructors. I have supported PGA HOPE since leaving Congressional Country Club by offering classes at Little Bennett since 2021. We have held 8 sessions since I started at Little Bennett with over 90 graduates. Two of our teams won first and second place in the 2024 MAPGA HOPE Cup.
Getting people the proper equipment is a part of the industry that continues to grow. With my connection to GOLF Magazine, I was able to make the introduction to TrueSpec. MCG and TrueSpec partnered this season to bring an elite-level fitting experience to the DC Metro area. TrueSpec used one of their mobile fitting carts at the Little Bennett location. In the first year, TrueSpec did over $250,000 in sales. We look forward to continue to grow this relationship in the DC Metro area.
Working with other professionals to continue to build their knowledge to teach and grow the game is one of my biggest passions. Over the past two years, I have trained one PGA professional and a shop assistant that have become full time instructors in the MCG Academy. Over the past two years, they have generated over $200,000 in revenue and taught over 2000 lessons plus additional camps and clinics. Being able to coach other coaches has always been a passion of mine. Passing on knowledge of the swing and how to grow their business. Since completing my PGA Master Professional certification, I have mentored three other PGA Professionals to completing their Master Professional projects in the last six months. With 27,000 PGA Professionals in the PGA, there are only 465 PGA Professionals that have the honor being PGA Master Professionals.
Please share any programming you have made to keep your customers & students engaged:
In the 2025 season, I offered a variety of seaon-long of coaching programs for juniors and adults. These programs ranged from beginner level to avid golfer. Topics could range from simple fundamentals to being on course and working on course strategy and management. Below are the different programs that I ran in 2025.
Junior Level 1 – Life-Long Golfer – 60 mins weekly – Weekly junior coaching program that promotes competition while developing essential fundamentals for young golfers to create a strong foundation with a set curriculum in a fun environment. ADM Model is key in targeting proper skill and age development.
Many parents ask what the difference is between a golf clinic and a coaching program. A clinic has a set schedule for learning and runs for about 3-4 weeks. A coaching program is built for the long haul to allow the student and coach to create a working relationship in order to create a plan for success. Spending more time with your Coach is a key component to being successful and playing good golf. This coaching program doesn’t just provide the skills to play golf; it challenges those skills to increase success on the course.
Junior Level 2- Path to Compete – 90 mins weekly – Weekly junior coaching program that promotes competition to elevate the skill level and ability of your junior golfer. This program will develop skills that will provide success in competition. The program focuses on how to practice and develop techniques, & course strategies.
