Please indicate any Growth of the Game initiatives your facility/academy has launched over the past year (please give specifics on such programs):
~ During the Folds of Honor fundraiser, I played 256 holes of Virtual Golf to raise money. I played consistently for over 11 hours and raised just under $2,100.

~ Built a relationship with the CEO Joseph Higgins from the Professional Virtual Golf Association in November of 2022. This was the inaugural year and was intended to provide competitive golf virtually across the United States. My role was to help grow participation with players from North Dakota. We had 6 individuals from North Dakota make it to Nationals in Rochester, MN on March 18th, 2023. We also fundraised for local charities.

~ Established an ongoing and positive relationship with Chairman Mark Fox of the MHA Nation (Mandan Hidatsa and Arikara Nation) to build a golf instructional program to benefit indigenous tribes and students. The program is still in the works. My goal is to utilize my relationships with the Michael Herzog Golf Academy and provide instruction for kids who don’t have access, to equipment, or transportation to facilities.

~ Currently working with Central Station in Mandan, ND to form Fall and Winter Leagues as I did in 2022 at Wings & Rings in Bismarck, ND. Utilizing Golf Genius for Tournament Software. This is also my new location for indoor instruction for lessons and a place to work with the VFW to provide lessons, programs for Cops and Kids of the Mandan Fire and Police Department, and other upcoming community programs.

~ Implemented in April 2022 a Fall and Winter Virtual golf league with the restaurant Wings & Rings. (Only one in the country). Helped train and coach Fall and Winter leagues with staff for them to facilitate on their own. Generated $11,216.69 in F&B sales (10 weeks with eight, 2-person teams) for Fall League and $30,884.89 in F&B sales (12 weeks with 20, 2-person teams). They are now able to facilitate their own leagues. Also, conducted a Virtual Ironman Tournament consisting of 15 teams and generating $5,300 in revenue.

Please share any programming you have made to keep your customers & students engaged:
~ Established a PGA Junior League team through the MHGA. 8 players, 6 matches over three months, with three players new to the game. Optimistically it will grow in 2024 and look at possible winter programs in 2023 too.

~ Established ongoing relationship with Eric Kluckman, North Dakota State representative of the VGA (Veteran Golfers Association) to help provide Veterans an outlet to the game of golf competitively in ND. My grandfather, 1st Lt. Francis J. Herzog of the 3rd Armed Division of the Army, served from 1939-45. As a family member of the VGA my goal is to provide free lessons to vets who participate in the VGA. I also play in the VGA, (family division) to honor my grandpa. I’ve played in ND, MN, and FL and continue to travel around the US.

~ Worked with Dave Schultz from Fargo Country Club to add a Veterans Segment for his successful Hole-in-One show. We were able to honor six Veterans and raise over $500 for the VGA. Airing will take place in March-April 2024

~ Traveling lessons: This year I provided over 200+ lessons around the state of ND. My travels took me to Peaceful Valley Golf Course in Harvey, ND, to Black Sands Golf Course in Beulah, ND, and to Pebble Creek Golf Course in Bismarck, ND.
