RANGE PROMOTION:
We promote our range as one that sets us apart from other clubs through our recruiting process. We are unique in that our 18 holegolf course & current top 50 range is located on our Division III university campus. We are also unique in that the only people whocan use our facilities are our professional golf management students currently enrolled in our program. No other students oncampus can use the facilities. We are 1 of 18 PGA accredited professional golf management universities in the country. Sothroughout the recruiting process in marketing ourselves to high school students, we always make a point to tell recruits that wehave a range that is literally in your backyard that only you can use. The students can wake up in their dorm rooms, grab theirclubs and actually walk to our range.
In addition, we also allow our nationally ranked men’s & women’s golf teams to practice at our facility. The teams will host practicethroughout the weeks during the team’s respectable seasons in order to prepare for their tournament seasons. It is a pleasure toallow these historic programs to utilize our facilities so they can compete at the highest level.
SPECIAL PROGRAMMING: Please share any programming you have to keep your customers & students engaged
We continued our multitude of special programs including PGA HOPE (Helping Out Patriots Everywhere). Our facility is located inFayetteville, North Carolina, home to Ft. Bragg (one of the largest military bases in the country). PGA HOPE introduces golf toVeterans with disabilities to enhance their physical, mental, social and emotional well-being. The program introduces the game ofgolf through a developmental 6-8 week curriculum, taught by our facility’s PGA Professionals trained in adaptive golf and militarycultural competency. It is through this program we don’t just teach golf, but we provide a safe community for our veterans to bethemselves. These veterans have gone through so much physically, emotionally & mentally. It’s our goal to get them to learn howto play golf & also to for them to experience joy.
We also hosted a local Drive, Chip & Putt Qualifier at the practice facilities. These junior players compete to move on to theregional qualifiers & eventually a chance to go to Augusta National. It is a phenomenal way to grow the game of golf with our youthin the local community.
Even though we are a private facility, we host 1 public tournament each year called the Founders Council. This tournament is an opportunity to invite others to play from the general public. Our goal is to positively promote our top 50 practice facility, phenomenal golf course, beautiful collegiate campus & educate others about our PGA golf management program. It is also an opportunity to partner with citizens in our community to support our students through fundraising money that go towards scholarships.
