Please indicate any Growth of the Game initiatives your facility/academy has launched over the past year (please give specifics on such programs):
I started at Big cedar in October 2024 and before me there was no teaching, after a lot of market research I have started all the programming from the beginning, some of the highlights this year include:
– Junior programing for 7-17 year old's, we filled 3 junior clinics based on age and skill with 6-12 juniors in each, clubs provided free of charge
– partnered with the local schools to offer free clinics for their teams at the start of the season (4 local high schools boys and girls)
– partnered with the local middle schools to introduce the game in their gym classes
– partnered with the local veterans unit to host a free learn and play day for 14 vets
– hosted 2 3 week women's golf series events getting 16 women into the game
– hosted a women's golf day for 12 ladies opening our facility to local women in the area
– hosted 62 golf schools using my social media tips to encourage lesson sign ups
-partnered with other professionals like Erika Larkin to co host schools and bring more teaching opportunities to the area
– worked with pga camps to host 2 summer golf camps with 6-12 juniors in each
– hosted an in house family golf day on our 13 hole course (17 families)
– created over 250 social media posts/tips showcasing our course and facility
– hosted over 40 associate golf lessons at a discounted rate to give instruction to our team members who work here
– hosted 4 free clinics to our sales team and caddie teams to help showcase our lessons
– helped 15 juniors complete their level one us kids certification
– hosted a girls golf event where the teens helped the younger girls learn the skills on the short game range
– gathered old clubs for juniors to be able to take home to continue practice when they weren't in class
– created a small teens team competition similar to pga junior league to get the kids on course and create competition
– helped a small private school set up a girls golf team for the first time in 20 years with the help of some of my parents, their number one made it to states as an individual
– hosted 15 family clinics where a family can block a 3 hour space. this had some parents with 5 year old's and also had some parents with teens learning together
– hosted sip and swing and putt and pours to corporate groups looking for a more relaxed introduction to lessons
– worked with the "fore the ladies" golf trip to add education to their play
– equipment inclusion is free with golf lessons, and extended practice time after the lessons is also included
– hosted a playing lesson for my juniors before the AJGA event at our course
– each golf school comes with a coach now account with videos of all tips and drills related to the swing changes
– short game tests and stat sheets shared with all juniors to measure success and build practice plans for events
– sponsored local college team fundraiser and Alzheimer association with gift of lessons
– tripled academies yearly revenue goal as of October 2025
