Best range promotion:
Best Range Promotion is Fall Junior Team Golf Event- We have had up to 36 participants each fall in this program! Our range is perfect for this program. We have events all over the range where we conduct putting relay races, field goal full swings, and much more! Each child has their own customized Garb jersey with a college logo, our club logo, their favorite number, and their nickname. The stone patio with a fire pit that overlooks the range and the pond adjacent to our 14th hole is the perfect spot for parents to hang out and watch the activities while lounging by the fire and having a cold one!
First Green Field Trip- We also had the pleasure of using our Practice Range as a hub for our First Green Field Trips this past year. We had kids from a local school make 2 visits to our Practice Facility. We did soil sampling, square foot measuring, launch monitor physics, and MUCH MORE! It was a HUGE hit and was covered in depth by local newspapers and television outlets.
Special programs:
First Green Field Trips with Governor Mifflin High School as described previously
STEM Project with Governor Mifflin High School. Our Superintendent Alan Fitzgerald and Director of Instruction Andy Miller went into the school multiple times to help students with their indoor miniature golf course design and implementation. It was an amazing experience where the kids were able to ask our 2 employees questions about golf, physics, etc.!
Touch a Truck Event- Every year, Andy Miller and our Membership Director Tyler Henry participate in The Junior League of Reading’s Touch a Truck Event. It helps raise money to empower youths to become leaders. We dress up in the SNAG Sticky Suit and let kids hit tennis balls at us. Tons of fun!
Reading Public Museum Golfin in the Galleries- We take our SNAG Bullseye Target to the local museum and allow participants in their mini golf night to test their skills and try to hit the bullseye! It’s tons of fun and a great way for our community to see that we care!
