Please indicate any Growth of the Game initiatives your facility/academy has launched over the past year (please give specifics on such programs):
One thing that is great about the facility that I work for is that we are very heavily involved in all of the PGA youth development programs and have formulated some of our own programs. Don and Diana have been in the business for 20+ years and they are responsible for growing the junior golf empire in South Florida. I was fortunate to walk into an already well established organization with expansive programming.
One program that I have instituted is the High Performance Program. This program is designed to cater to the elite golfer looking for full-time training. This is an elite level training program for athletes aspiring to play college golf. This program has many working parts. When a full-time student joins our class we are responsible for their physical training, mental training, golf practice, tournament schedule, college recruitment, and transportation. We help the juniors that join this program reach their goals with junior golf and beyond. This program has grown exponentially since its inception. We started out with five students in the first year and now we are up to over 45+ golfers in this program. This is one of the most expansive programs in our academy and is vital to our growth.
Please share any programming you have made to keep your customers & students engaged:
One reason we are one of the largest junior golf academies in the US is because of the diverse scaffolded programs that we offer. We offer programs for 4 year olds all the way up to elite highschool (college preparation) training. One of my influences on the academy was to bring a full time training program for elite high school aged players to our academy. While we were very successful at the young-junior aged development we were having trouble retaining these players once they got to the age of 13. They felt that their training needed to intensify and they had outgrown our academy. About 6 years ago I was tasked to create a program that helped retain these players. Ever since the creation of our elite program the numbers of daily students has grown at our academies. We had 5 students receive college scholarships last year and we continue to attract more elite students from all over the world. This is a program that I am very proud of and will continue to grow over the next several years. We now have over 12 countries represented in our students at the academy. We are so pleased with the diverse culture that we offer here and hope that we can continue to be a worldwide presence
