Please indicate any Growth of the Game initiatives your facility/academy has launched over the past year (please give specifics on such programs):
We offer free 1.5 hour long clinics for minorities in the community who otherwise would not have access to Pinehurst. We also offer Junior classes for kids whom have never played before. In 2026 we are planning to offer adaptive clinics and camps.

Please share any programming you have made to keep your customers & students engaged:
Adult Golf School
– These three or four day golf schools help players of any ability improve their game. They received detailed instruction on all skills of the game, on course situational golf management, and leave with packets of information and video analysis. We do about 80 of these per year, averaging 12 participants in each.

Adult LPGA 101 and 201
– This is an all female clinic for those who want to learn the game or want to improve their game. These are offered in the fall and the spring, and attendance is roughly 8 women per group. Each program has six weeks of instruction, including on course time.

Junior Player Pathway Classes
– These classes are designed for students ages 6-12. These classes are Mondays-Saturdays and are 1 hour in length. We use games-based learning to increase their skills (2 different skills covered in classes), do a group warm-up, and award at the end of every class. Students are guided through the Player Pathway (which I rewrote this last year) at their own pace. During classes students learn forms and complete skills assessments in the hopes of earning their level pins: putting, around the green, full swing, scoring and knowledge. If a student completes all of their pins for the level, they give a speech and mention who they would like to thank. Students progress is tracked through the Player Pathway app. These classes are such a fun blend of learning and spending time with friends.

Indoor Junior Player Pathway Classes
– These pathway classes are designed to help students develop their games in the indoor simulator environment. I was tasked with creating a new curriculum for PGA Tour Superstores to offer junior classes, and from December-February I offered 2 indoor classes per day after school. The kids and I got to test all the trackman games, come up with new games, and figure out how to best improve and measure skills. These classes quickly became a hit, creating a waitlist on every roster.

Parent/Child Classes
– These classes are offered Tuesdays and Saturdays for 1 hour. It’s a great way for parents and kids (ages 6-12) to practice their game together while having fun. We use games-based learning to increase their skills (2 different skills covered in classes), do a group warm-up, and award at the end of every class. Students are guided through the Player Pathway (which I rewrote this last year) at their own pace. Parents are assessed and given golf tips along the way as well. These classes have led to more parent/child rounds played at the club, and more time spent at the club in the shop and restaurants.

Little Chippers Classes
– Offered Mondays, Tuesdays and Saturdays, these 45 minute classes are a great way for the little ones to get introduced to golf! This class are for kids ages 3-5 years old and like the pathway classes, we used games-based learning to increase skills. We do not perform skill assessments but play lots of games and keep things light. Parents are mandatory to be at this class to assure safety. Each class, these students will play putting, around the green and full swing games to start falling in love with the game!

Parent/Child Camps
– In the summer we offer 6 of these and one in the call, this camp is our bread and butter. These camps are offered Thursday-Sunday and are geared for kids and parents to improve on their game while having fun and spending time together at the course. There are about 40 participants each camp, and all are evaluated and taught. Skills are covered in the mornings and coaching occurs in the afternoons on-course. There is also glow golf every Saturday night! Families leave with memories that last a lifetime, which to me is what golf is all about. We had a record of selling out the camp within 6 hours of registration open for 2024 camps.

Summer Camps
– These half-day camps run Monday-Thursdays from 9am-12pm. We offered 15 weeks of summer camp in 2025. Kids are ages 6-14 and are of all abilities. Each day starts with a big group warm-up, followed by coaches (leads and interns) dividing kids based on age and abilities to go work on their Player Pathway forms and skills. Each day ends with an awards ceremony for kids to see what they achieved, and parents to see what students worked on. It’s fun with friends and improving their golf game all at once!

Free Junior Minority Clinics
– one Sunday per month, we invite local minority kids to come and receive instruction. This 1.5 hour long clinic maxes at 12 participants.

Family Lessons
– 1-hour lessons for the whole family to spend time together working on their game. I use games-based learning and teach the ability of each family member.

Private Lessons
– private lessons at the Golf Academy are offered for both the membership and outside golfers. These very anywhere from 30 minutes long to 2 hours.

Employee clinics
– pinehurst Resort has over 1500 employees, many that work at the resort to play golf, and many who have never played the game before. We offer monthly clinics for employees to educate them on how to play the game, and improve their skills.
