Please indicate any Growth of the Game initiatives your facility/academy has launched over the past year (please give specifics on such programs):
The game of golf has been so special to me that I’ve always viewed being a golf coach a way to give back. Now whether that’s taking a few junior golfers under my wing each calandra season, by giving them lessons at no charge and allowing them to use my facility to hone their game. Or giving back to the special olympics and coaching their kids and helping run their Long Island chapter golf tournament to military active and retired servicemen.

I am beyond fortunate to teach many high networth men and women here in the New York metropolitan area, that it allows me to give back to the less fortunate.

This is even more special to me because I was one of those less fortunate who’s father was a retired New York City Fireman, I had the advantage in knowing and working with Michael Hebron at Smithtown Landing CC. Michael was gracious enough to teach me the game at no charge and help me with green fees. This start to golf will never be forgotten and I truly appreciate paying to forward.

Please share any programming you have made to keep your customers & students engaged:
My normal day to day consists of one on one, high performance golf lessons. Differently than the country club atmosphere where I once taught, my clientele now consist mainly of tournament players (junior golfers, college golfers, competitive amateur golfers etc). So my programing is usually targeted towards individualized development. Now this changes from student to student based on what their assessment shows and the goals of the students.

Whether its gaining more speed in their swing, working on wedge distances/ trajectory, pitch/chip/ bunker shots, long/medium/ short putts, putting techniques, mental game, course management, fitness, I try to offer customizable programs for all students. Programs are extra import for my students because it’s a way to hold my students accountable and a way they hold themselves accountable. But above all it gives structure to both of us.
