Please indicate any Growth of the Game initiatives your facility/academy has launched over the past year (please give specifics on such programs):
When I took over as the PGA Director of Player Development and Junior Golf, The Club at Golden Valley had zero women's clinics and only 5 junior classes. In my first year here, I add 92 women's clinics, and 120 junior golf classes. The goal of the women's clinics was to get to those that were new or newer to the game a chance to meet others and to feel comfortable with the game. Also to understand that we all started at the same spot with our game. With the junior golf classes, I started at age 4 all the way up to age 17.

Please share any programming you have made to keep your customers & students engaged:
With the junior programming I started classes at age 4 to 17. The classes were ages 4 to 6, 6 to 8, 8 to 10, 10 to 12, 12 to 14 and 14 to 17. By having the classes designed this way there is a steppingstone for each junior. By having it this way it gave juniors a way to advance. Also, I added a Q-school camps that were week-long. There were classes where I had different age groups playing the golf course, at all different abilities. This was a huge success where the juniors had a great time and took pressure off the parents to coach them.

For the women clinics I started with breakdown of the game, from putting clinics, short game clinics, bunker clinics, iron clinic, wood clinics, golf 101, 202, and 303. The programs were designed this way to focus on one thing and not to overload the student. Also added Play with the Pro. This was a huge success as the ladies felt comfortable on the course and understood the game more.
