Please indicate any Growth of the Game initiatives your facility/academy has launched over the past year (please give specifics on such programs):
Intro to golf – This is a 5 week program for beginners focused on ball striking, short game, putting, rules & Etiquette and on course procedures

Free intro to golf for Juniors – this is a 6 week program for underprivileged youth that can’t afford to take lessons and purchase clubs. To pay for this we got a grant from the PNW PGA. The kids also received free equipment as well.

ADULTS

Intro to golf 101 and 201 – This is a 5 week program for beginners focused on ball striking, short game, putting, rules & Etiquette and on course procedures

Ladies clinics – I offer 3 ladies clinics a week. Its one hour and we cycle through all aspects of the game depending on the classes needs.

Guys night – This is one day week where we cycle through all aspects of the game.

Ya-Golf – These clinics are designed for young adults age 19-29. We do 1 clinic a month at a discounted rate cycling through all aspects of the game

Open clinic – I do this once a week cycling through all aspects of the game

LPGA Season kick off clinic – This clinic we typically get around 45 ladies for 3 hours focusing on short game, putting and trouble shots.

Juniors

Junior club – I do this 2 times a week for 2 hours. We do a half hour clinic followed by golf

Junior Camps – I do 8 5 day camps with on average 20 kids per camp. We focus on all aspects of the game including contest and prizes

Camp Rosenbaum – This is a camp thats free for underprivileged youth through the Rosenbaum Organization. We offer the golf part of this over 5 days at 4 hours a day focusing on all aspects of the game.

PGA Junior League – This is a 12 week program focusing on aspects of the game with 4 competition days.

Community

SWW Special Olympics 8 week class – This class we work 100 yards and in. To pay for this we received a grant from the Oregon PGA.

Native American Youth Academy – this is once a month for 2 hours for the youth after school programming. To pay for this we used some of the grant money received from the PNW PGA.

Portland Community College – we offer 3 classes for adults and 1 senior only class every term throughout the year with up to 10 people. This is a 5 week program, 1 hour a week focusing on aspects of the game.

We also have indoor practice and lessons to keep people engaged over the winter.
