RANGE PROMOTION:
Ironically, our best range promotion this past year was our promotion for the Grand Reopening Celebration of the newly renovated Pirate Pete’s Mini Golf Course, and the days, weeks, and even months that followed with people wanting to play on the newly renovated course. That brought many people to the Highlands, where a large portion took advantage of the driving range, and are now new customers.

To kick off the golf season in the early spring, we conduct a Golf Madness promotion – a play on March Madness. This promotion includes special instruction deals, club regripping offers, range ball specials, and mini-golf specials. And, it is extremely popular as folks look to start the golf season with a bang.

As always, though, our Range Card Specials that offer range balls and/or rounds of mini golf over and above the purchase price continue to be top sellers at the Highlands.

SPECIAL PROGRAMMING:
One of our frequent, and most well-known partnerships, is with our local animal shelters (Greene County Animal Shelter and Madison-Greene Humane Society). We partner with these entities frequently in an effort to raise much-needed funds for each. These are always very well-attended and raise significant funds for the shelters.

We continue to have a great partnership with our local Greene County Parks and Recreation Department. The organization has found the Highlands to be a very popular facility for events like mini-golf tournaments and team celebrations.

We also continue to partner with several area non-profits (chambers of commerce, health care organizations, and more) in providing a place for their fundraisers, meetings, and celebrations.

Finally, this past year, we were pleased to be a lead sponsor of the Mad Jazz Festival in Charlottesville. It was the 2nd Annual Mad Jazz Festival, from which a portion of the proceeds are donated to the Chris Long Foundation, an organization that brings clean water and educational opportunities to underserved communities, both domestically and internationally.
