Best range promotion: After taking over the ownership last year we totally renovated the facility we had a “Grand Opening” weekend on December 1st and 2nd. We took out color advertisements in the local papers offering a FREE medium bucket to all customers to celebrate our GRAND OPENING. On the evening of Friday, November 30th we did an “invitation only” cocktail party that was catered by a nearby restaurant along with a DJ for entertainment. We invited friends, family, and the members of the local country clubs.
Special programs: The Golf PIT was a “USGA First Tee” site for the first time in 2013. The program we would consider the “most special” was our CLUB FOR KIDS PROGRAM. Two Saturdays per month at The Golf PIT and our sister facility (McDivots Golf Center) we would offer a FREE junior clinic and a FREE golf club specifically fitted for any junior that attended. We advertisied this through our Retail Tribe newletter, utilized “Constat Contact” to email our customers to invite juniors intertested in learning about golf, and ran a large add in the local newpaper to promote this program. Golf Pride donated over 200 kids grips and we took our old fiiting clubs and cut them down and regripped them to a variety of lengths to fit all sizes of kids.
