Best range promotion: We have narrowed this down in to two separate promotions that gained attention for our practice facility. First, we held a ‘Big Break Skills Challenge’ for our junior golfers with several different events. The kids were able to compete in different flights based on their age and skill level. It was a very fun event in which families and members alike were out on the practice tee watching and cheering for the kids. Second, our multi-vendor Demo Days were a big hit on the practice tee. Over Memorial Day Weekend we held our biggest demo day, hosting 12 vendors from all walks of the golf industry, club companies to high end golf cars. It was a big party, there was a DJ hired to play music throughout the afternoon along with a full BBQ for anyone who attended. This brought a lot of attention to our practice facility and allowed us to bring more people in to try all the new clubs. This is a great event at the beginning of our season to jump start our hard good sales and in a 5 hour period we sold $20,000 dollars worth of equipment.

Special programs: As part of Forest Highlands commitment to give back to the local community, Forest Highlands Golf Club hosted its first Area Wide Junior Golf Clinic in collaboration with The First Tee of Phoenix. More than 100 of the local youth participated in this junior golf program, which encompasses learning the game of golf and the positive ideals the game teaches. The day included an exhibition by two of our local PGA Club professionals. In addition, participation by special guests from The First Tee of Phoenix and hands-on golf instruction offered by PGA Professionals from the all around the South West Section. This field trip was not only an opportunity for students to learn about golf but also an opportunity to gain real life lessons that can be learned through the game of golf.
The dayʼs events included:
• 9:00 a.m. Registration
• 9:30 a.m. PGA Club Professional Exhibition
• 10:30 p.m. Golf instructional clinic
• 11:00pm Lunch provided to all youth who attended
