Please indicate any Growth of the Game initiatives your facility/academy has launched over the past year (please give specifics on such programs):
1) The G2 Golf Academy is located on the border of two LPGA Amateur Golf Chapters. The Myrtle Beach Chapter to the South and the Cape Fear/Wilmington Chapter to the North. Working in conjunction with the Presidents of the two chapters, we have created programming, which addresses the skill development for different handicap groups. We hosted an Open House at the Academy to introduce G2 to sixty-five(65) new faces! We kicked off the season in April with three consecutive weeks of Supervised Practice. As the women were all new to G2, this gave me the opportunity to discover, how many handicap groups were needed. We established two handicap groups (0-24 & 25-35) as well as a new player group.
Supervised Practice is for the folks who are experienced players in the respective handicap groups. As golf is a game of skills, Supervised Practice is a fun, professionally led, self-directed, dynamic opportunity to build skills. Supervised Practice also provides transfer training through the use of efficient practice and pre-round warmup techniques. Learning how to practice efficiently and with specific goals, the participants were amazed by the skill development.
The new players started with basic fundamentals, terminology, etiquette and golf course care. This always builds confidence and comfort. Skill development is always emphasized over technique. Presented with skills challenges, they players recognize, there is more than one successful path.
Practice, held twice a month, is easy to scale for group size and skill level. The skills are all measurable. The goals are varied; lower scores, more comfortable on course, participate with friends, enjoy the outdoors and just have more fun!
We are pleased to say that we will continue our relationship into next season and create more opportunity for engagement through playing, teaching and coaching.

2) The G2 Golf Group – Nine Hole Ladies League expanded and welcomed new players, who have very little golf course experience. We were able to double the size of our league and create a mentorship program. This took the league from 16 players to 32 players. The impact on the mentors and mentees was amazing. The foursomes were comprised of two newbies and two seasoned players. The confidence level of both groups was raised simultaneously. We were keen to match personalities more than golf knowledge and expertise. The emphasis is largely on the enjoyment and friendship aspect of the game. We rotate the groups throughout the weeks as the different personalities create a different dynamic. The end result…women building friendships with supportive women and said friendships extending beyond our league. The friendships keep folks engaged. We could not be happier!

3) Brunswick Family Assistance – The G2 Golf Group Charity. We host two fun, wacky, themed scramble tournaments each year; The Summer Solstice, held in June on the Solstice and The Snowball, held in December to kick off the holiday season. We live and work in Brunswick County and are proud to support Brunswick Family Assistance (BFA). BFA provides food, shelter and funds for families at risk. They provided meals for 53, 427 people and 49,515 shelter nights at this writing in 2025. Through our tournaments, our G2 community donated $2500.00 and over 500 pounds of food after our Summer Solstice event in June. The Executive Director was on hand to receive the funds and food. He was overwhelmed at the generosity and the amount of food collected at a single event. Our upcoming Snowball will provide the next opportunity to support BFA. We are grateful to our G2 family for their support of our event and therefore their support of BFA.

4) Student Referral – We create multiple avenues for folks to join our G2 Family. Local Scramble Tournaments and Pro Ams, Ladies League, Supervised Practice, Domestic and International Travel and Pro Ams and Individual Lesson Programing. Ninety percent of our business comes from Student/Client referral. This is a huge complement and always humbled when we are trusted with family and friends. Once someone engages in one activity, they generally cross over into another. For example, if someone comes to us through travel, they usually become a private lesson student after playing with us on a trip. When someone is a student, they move into domestic and/or international travel. The friendships they create, keep them engaged in all G2 activities.
We recognize the revenue stream that some of our students have created through referrals. In 2025 we have rewarded those folks with different items based on that revenue. We have financed a few club memberships, extra lessons or playing lessons on their account, entry into our tournaments, supervised practice for a month or an upgrade on a travel destination. We personalize the reward and keep them engaged in our community.
Private Instruction saw twenty-six new students this year from referrals. This keeps the cycle going by also engaging the new folks in our other activities.
Domestic and International Travel grew by twenty-four unique travelers. Ten of the new travelers were from my student base. Fourteen of the new travelers were from referrals. The majority of the referrals were traveling along with the client who referred them to G2.

In total, The G2 Golf Group has acquired 89 new clients/students in 2025. We feel as though for a two person business, that is tremendous growth! We will keep engaging them in our cycle of activities and continue to create new opportunities.

Please share any programming you have made to keep your customers & students engaged:
1) Travel Pro Ams – We have a colleague, who hosts eight Pro Ams each year. We always give previous participants first right of refusal, which keeps them engaged and we attend at least two per year. This year we decided to add a third event. We invited students who have neither, traveled nor played in an event with us. A mass email is easy and efficient. However, when someone receives a personal phone call or a verbal invitation during a lesson, it is very personal and powerful. We needed eight players. Of course, none of them think they are ready to play in a Pro Am. Of the eight players, five of them are current students and relatively new to G2, two are spouses in the group, who have played in our seasonal scrambles and one is a former student from the Philly area, who stays engaged through travel. The prospect of playing, keeps them on the lesson tee preparing for play. Additionally, to the person, over the years, everyone returns from the Pro Am experience playing their best golf! The opportunity to play on a team and be coached for four days by Michele or me is priceless. They expand their skills, create shots they didn’t know they could execute, improve course management skills and grow in confidence. They absolutely see the value in the experience. Oh yeah, that is just the golf course fun! The off course time spent building the friendships is immeasurable!

2) Travel Night – This is our annual presentation to unveil our travel schedule for the following season. We build anticipation all year. We don’t reveal any clues until the night of the event. We provide refreshments from the regions of the world we intend to visit. For instance, in 2026 we will travel to Belgium so we served Belgian beer and chocolate. This year we had sixty-seven people in attendance! That is the biggest group to attend our Travel Night. We have a big screen TV rolling with pictures from past excursions. Everyone enjoys seeing themselves in pictures and recounting the trips. Also, the folks in attendance who haven’t traveled with us are free to ask questions and discuss the experiences with other travelers. We also find it very rewarding to see the friendships that have developed because of travel. Also, the conversations they have to discuss where they will travel next year. Michele always knocks it out of the park with her travel choices as well as the presentation of each destination. Our goal….5 star travel on a 3 star budget.

3) Maintenance Programs – My standard lesson programs have my students with me once per week. This is great for skill building. Once they reach a level of competency, I transition them to a maintenance program. I have two monthly programs. The two hour session has been popular with folks so that they can maintain skills and stay sharp. The half-day session has been popular lower handicap students and with my out of town students. This program allows for us to get on the golf course as well. Total immersion is so effective and really gives folks the time to comprehend, reflect and ask questions in that time frame.
