Please indicate any Growth of the Game initiatives your facility/academy has launched over the past year (please give specifics on such programs):
1) Supervised Practice has been a staple in my programming and this year I divided folks by handicap groups which encouraged more participation. The original players (women handicaps 0-12) were all individual lesson students, who compete in area tournaments. They encouraged their friends to enjoy practice as they hadn’t experienced in a group setting. Groups always meant clinic style, waiting to get individual attention. They were so pleased to have fun in a new game style practice. Instead of being wary of technique changes, they learned new shots, honed skills and more importantly how to practice in a fast, efficient manner. The second group was men in the 18-30 handicap group. I noticed a popular practice time at the putting/chipping green was 4:00 in the afternoon. Sure enough, we started an organized group since they were all there anyway. They were shocked to learn that the way they practiced didn’t fit with good motor learning science for skill acquisition and retention. Not only is practice more interesting, they have enjoyed competing against each other as a way to become battle tough for the golf course as well as skill transfer to the golf course. They have all reported lower scores and fewer shots needed from 50 yards and closer.

2) Nine Hole Ladies League. We have hosted a nine hole league for a few seasons. This fall we started a new player division in our current league. This was for all of my brand new students (8 women) who started golf in 2024. The majority of them didn’t know other women to play with, who are of a similar ability and experience. I was able to introduce them in a group in a low key, friendly environment so the task was much less daunting. All topics from golf course care, how to drive and where to park the golf car, where to stand, golf terminology, how to read a scorecard and establish handicap. There are so many things to learn and putting them in a safe environment is critical to them staying in the game.

3) Although I have always made On Course Lessons a critical part of a well rounded coaching program, I have added Playing/On Course Lessons for students who are not full time students. This has opened a new avenue to folks who are firmly in the camp of not wanting to implement any changes to their physical ball striking. Spending time on the golf course and solely helping with mindset, routine, strategy, lie indentification, shot selection and green reading are all essential skills that do not require swing changes. This has been a fun and enlightening program for so many new folks, who now that they are retired, literally play golf 5 days a week. They all have reported to have never had thought about the topics we discuss or the importance of these items to better scoring and more enjoyment.

Please share any programming you have made to keep your customers & students engaged:
The programming we create allows for a broad range of engagment in The G2 Golf Community. The biggest compliment we can receive from our clients is when they invite their family and friends to join in the fun. Whether we are traveling to a fabulous international destination, local events, pro-ams or our philanthropic endeavors, we are thrilled our clients entrust us with the care of their loved ones.

1) This year we created the Summer Solstice Scramble and Shag celebrating the longest day of the year. This was a spin-off of our Annual Snowball Tournament held each December to usher in winter and the holiday season. Neither of these events are revenue generating events but opportunities to thank our students for their continued support. In fact the net proceeds of the scrambles are donated to selected local charities. I had the pleasure of sharing the details in the PGAMagazine.com article entitled “Create Special Seasonal Events” September 3, 2024.

2) As small business owners in Calabash, NC we participated in The Annual Calabash Holiday Parade! (Pictures under separate cover) We had 25 of our clients walk down Main street accompanying our festively decorated golf car and our G2 Mini Cooper waving to the crowd and tossing candy and parade souvenirs! Our flag standard bearer was donned in his Elf on a Shelf costume carrying our G2 Flag. The other “elves” wore G2 Sweatshirts and Santa hats. This was undoubtedly the hokeyest thing we have done and such a fun small town night on the town! The parade attendees overwhelmingly awarded us with the “Spirit Award”! Plans have been underway all year to improve on last year’s showing!

3) Each year we participate in two Women’s Only Charity tournaments by way of bringing different clients to join us and through our donations to said charities. The Blue Skies tournament kicks off the Spring and The Diva is hosted in October during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This year one of the charities was Folds of Honor which has been a charity of our since its inception. We were able to bring two of our students, who are veterans, to this event where all veterans were acknowledged, which was very moving.

4) Travel Pro-Ams continue to be a popular client engagement avenue. Tucson is our popular destination in December and February. We bring eight players to play on two teams in this multi-format tournament. We provide G2 Golf gear as team uniforms and an all inclusive golf, accomodations and meal package. We enjoy four rounds of golf in a fabulous location. The value of the time spent on the golf course with students is immeasurable. They learn from watching us work our way around the golf course, not to mention coaching them to make better decisions leading to lower scores and more enjoyment. We have escorted 58 teams over the years and this continues to sell out in less than 24 hours every time! (pictures in separate attachment)

5) This year, we have traveled to Tucson, Portugal, Scotland and are off the South Africa for golf and game drives! Once someone joins us for travel, they always return for future excursions! The community of travelers we have created has been so much fun and the relationships they have created have grown outside of our planned events. Our community of adventurers has continued to grow the word spreads of our 5 star travel on a 3 star budget! (pictures in separate attachment)
