Special programs: –Host of the Southwestern Amateur, a tournament that attracts some of the best high school and collegiate players in the country, from 2013-2016. Will host during the event’s 100th anniversary.
-Hosting the Charles Schwab Cup Championship on the PGA/Champions Tour (2012, 2014 and 2016)
-CARE Tournament-Sponsored by Desert Mountain members and hosted by Desert Mountain to promote awareness and knowledge of breast and prostate cancer through forums, seminars and educational materials and raising money to fund research to provide a cure. Recipient is Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, Ariz.
-Yangels Tournament-Fundraising event for YMCA educational programming and college scholarships for underserved youth.
