Best range promotion: The best promotion we ran last year was our holiday thank you card. Customers have the option of choosing a round of mini golf, medium bucket or a 20% bonus on their range cards. We generated over $22,000 in range card sales from the promotion. Customers redeemed 375 free rounds of mini golf but that resulted in over 1,000 rounds of paid mini golf, since no one plays alone. The promotion generated nearly $8,000 in mini golf revenue during the holiday season.
Special programs:
Two community programs stand out here at our facility.
1- Operation Game On is a Wounded Warrior golf program that is operated at the Del Mar Golf Center. Troops from Marine Naval Hospital San Diego and Camp Pendelton incorporate golf as part of their rehab program. Please visit www.oeprationgameon.org for more information. This is a program we are very happy to be involved with and honored to able to spread golf to our fantastic troops.
2- Pelly’s POD is an in-house program focused on Education among our local schools, Boy & Girl Scout programs and Youth organizations. The program is operated during the school year and brings in groups of youth to teach the Golf, Soil & Water Conservation, Environmental Science and Oceanography Merit Badges. Various patches for the Girl Scout program are also incorporated. Youth play mini golf at Pelly’s Mini Golf and various stations are set up throughout the course education them on conservation and recycling practices. Over 500 children have gone through the various badges and we continually look to expand the program.
