SPECIAL PROGRAMMING:
2018-2022 had a free 8 week program for the SWW Special Olympics paid with grant money from the Oregon PGA

2019-2022 monthly clinics for the Native American Youth Academy with Grant assistance from the Oregon PGA

2019-2022 offered a 6 week free intro to golf class for underprivileged youth in our area paid for by the Dennis Dolan Fund and grant money from the Pacific Northwest PGA

Since opening we offer 4 classes 4 times a year for Portland Community College w/10 per class.
Many community-driven programs have been on hold during the pandemic.
Hosted several youth instruction programs for The First Tee throughout 2021
Hosted several youth instruction programs for underprivileged kids in the local community, partnering with local youth organizations such as Upward Bound, the Native American Youth Academy, and more.
Hosted “the next 100” in 2018 – a community celebration for 100 years of public golf for Portland Parks and Recreation. The event had over 200 attendees.
Participated in the Cully Park grand opening in 2018 – this was Portland’s newest park to open. We offered intro to golf tips, and promoted Colwood’s driving range and instruction programs.
Offered our site free of charge for the Portland Watershed Council’s Explorando Event, which is a community event focusing on watershed conservation and education. The event had 250 attendees.
Portland Parks bike ride in 2017. Colwood was a staging are for the event. The event had 100 participants.
Hosted a “movie in the park” on our driving range in 2015. We invited residents of nearby neighborhoods to the property for the event. We had ~200 attendees.
