Please indicate any Growth of the Game initiatives your facility/academy has launched over the past year (please give specifics on such programs):
Cody implemented the Operation 36 platform as the foundation for the Druid Hills Junior and Ladies’ Academies. This structured and gamified learning model significantly increased junior participation and helped grow the Ladies’ Golf Association by 20%. In 2024, he launched the Druid Hills Elite Player Development Program, designed for middle and high school–aged juniors. The program currently includes 16 competitive players who train twice per week for 2.5 hours, totaling more than 20 hours of monthly instruction, and participate in weekly group play. His leadership within this national player development initiative earned him recognition as an Operation 36 Top 50 Coach in 2019.
Through the use of SportsBox 3D Golf, Cody provides remote instruction to over 150 students worldwide, including many outside of Georgia and several internationally. This digital platform allows him to extend his teaching reach while maintaining individualized feedback and performance tracking.
Among his most unique initiatives, Cody founded the Top 100 Golf Schools at Druid Hills Golf Club. This program invites a Golf Magazine Top 100 Instructor to co-host exclusive golf schools, providing members and guests with access to nationally recognized instruction and fostering collaboration among leading coaches.
Cody also plays a key role in the Callaway Next Junior Program for the East Coast, working to identify, fit, and develop elite junior golfers and college-level players. Through this program, he ensures that promising young athletes receive equipment properly tailored to their game, supporting their competitive development at the highest levels.
Please share any programming you have made to keep your customers & students engaged:
Through the different academies Cody runs at Druid Hills, (Ladies Academy, Junior Player Development, Elite Player Development and Op36 Junior Academy) Cody keeps players engaged with challenges for awards and check-ins multiple times a week. Each player from the academies are on group text chats to let Cody and his team know how they are practicing as well as sending swing videos and drill videos to groups and individual's.
Golfers who take private lessons get video check-ups in between lessons with practice stations to help them develop the skill that is currently being worked on. As well as stat tracking using stat tracking programs like Clipped and Circles. This helps us identify strengths and weaknesses during play to help us zero in on what the player needs the most work on. This helps us get to the end goal faster.
Social media is a great way to engage with students who may not be able to make their way to a lesson in person as often as needed. By sending drills, videos, concepts for on course play and strategies. We also us social media to highlight players successes and achievements.
