Please indicate any Growth of the Game initiatives your facility/academy has launched over the past year (please give specifics on such programs):
We have launched a full season ladies golf academy to go along with our junior academy. We utilize the Operation 36 program in our academies. We run three 8-week semesters for the ladies academy with 2 classes of 12 ladies each. This complements our Junior Academy what is ran spring and fall. The junior academy semesters are 12-weeks each with 4 classes of 12 juniors each. These two programs engage 48 juniors after school and 24 ladies during the week. We ran 5 junior golf schools over the summer with 20 kids each and will run 1 junior golf school this winter during the winter break.

To round out my player development programs we ran 2 adult golf schools featuring myself and a guest Top 100 teacher, Weekly lunch clinics for men and women, and free education events covering fitting education, fitness, and swing theory.

I have also started an after work group class open to PGA Professionals and Associates who want to improve their teaching skills. We meet after work once a week where I help them with their lessons, teaching and clubfitting techniques, best practices and technology.

Please share any programming you have made to keep your customers & students engaged:
Player engagement strategies I use on the daily is a video to recap every lesson with drills and explanations on what was covered. This is email at the conclusion to each lesson and gives the student incentive to practice.

I also offer free tune up clinics weekly and I walk the range giving free tips. I will talk with a current student as well as golfers who aren’t students. This gets current students back and a great way to recruit new students.

Creating tip videos to send out to the membership is a must. I create a bi-monthly tip video that goes out to the membership. I get a lot of feed back from members about how a video really helped them in some way and is why they decided to start taking lessons.
