At Chicago Highlands all of our instruction is complementary with the membership so we hold various clinics throughout the season to keep members excited about their golf games.

One clinic that we ran this past season was an evening ladies’ happy hour clinic. Often times ladies programming tends to be in the mornings. An evening clinic allowed the ladies to have a night out as well as makes sure that the ladies that do work have an equal opportunity to participate. These clinics are great in breaking down the barrier to entry for many of our female members. Often times they are nervous to go out on the course to play 9 or 18 holes. These clinics aim to give them the basic skills to feel comfortable on the golf course.

Special programs:

We have worked with the sunshine through Golf Organization and the CDGA to provide lessons for mentally handicapped individuals. This a very rewarding experience for the Club and instructors. We also do a club drive for all our old youth sets that member’s children have outgrown and we donate them to the First Tee.
