Here are a few examples of player development programs that Casey has conducted over his career.
Game On Learner Program:
This is a signature adult learning program of Bermuda Run Country Club. Golfers start at Step 1 (No or Little golf experience) and progress throughout the program (Step1, 2, & 3) until they are confident golfers who are now a part of the clubs golfing community and can either break or come close to breaking 100. The program includes clinic sessions, on course sessions, and a nine hole graduation event. Golfers use the GLF.Connect app to progress through skills challenges and track their progress using skill bench marks for putting, full swing, short game, and scoring. We also offer golf experience days once per month; these are fun events some include playing golf, while others are focused on the social aspects of the game. Here are few examples of experience days offered in 2025 Masters Par 3 contest, Bad Mom’s clinic, Halloween Scramble, Golf Fitness Day. In 2025 we have had 185 participants year to date.
Play 9 Holes with the Pro:
These are 9 hole playing lessons with members to increase club engagement and member spend by building a relationship with the golf pro on the course playing a round of golf. Company wide this saved 3.5 million dollars in club dues club wide. In 2025 I have played nine holes with 76 different members of our club at Bermuda Run Country Club.
Scoring University:
This is a natural extension of our Game On Learning Program. In this player development program players seek to reach a scoring objective (Break 100, Break, 90, Break 85, Break 80, or Break 75). The groups are smaller in nature , comprising 3- 6 players. Clinic sessions, on course sessions, and 9 hole graduation events are included in this program. I use the challenges and games outlined in the curriculum to enhance both individual and small group instruction.
“Crush It” Junior Program:
This is Bermuda Run Country Club’s signature youth golf program. This youth program tracks junior golfers as they progress through various levels and challenges. Casey uses the GLF.Connect app to track player progress and communicate with parents. Play days are offered to the participants so they experience the game on the course and learn by playing golf in addition to the traditional junior clinic setting.
The Crush It junior program utilizes a games based learning approach to youth instruction. Casey uses his own unique games during clinics to create a memorable experience for youth golfers. One example of this is “Pie Face,” a game Casey created to teach full swing. During the game players earn points when they demonstrate proper swing form. At the end of the game players put whip cream on a “Pie Face” catapult. They get to click the catapult an equivalent time with the amount of points they earned in the game to try to pie the coach (or themselves)! This keeps things fun and helps the players focus on a few fundamentals during play, rather than mindlessly hitting golf balls.
Since his arrival, Casey has offered “Crush It” junior golf camps. Prior to his arrival, no golf specific camps were available at the club. During Casey’s tenure, over 350 youth golfers have participated in “Crush It” Junior golf camps since February 2022. In addition, one day camps are offered during the school year to give kids a chance to learn golf during the holidays or on teacher workdays. Casey offered a “Teen Girls Only” golf camp option at Bermuda Run Country club for the first time ever at the club in 2022. Casey has elevated the camp experience by providing structure and educating staff to offer a higher-level of coaching to the kids. Camps culminate with a trick shot show on Friday. Casey dresses up as a character “Bermuda Bubba” and hits shots for the kids in character. Casey has had 112 junior participant in the Crush It Junior program in 2025 year to date.
PGA Junior League Golf:
PGA Junior League golf participation has increased dramatically since Casey’s arrival at Bermuda Run Country Club. Previously, Bermuda Run had been a part of a local Winston Salem league that played in the Spring. Last year Casey ran his first in house league at Bermuda Run and opened play for Non-Member participants. In 2-25 Casey ran a in house league with 24 participants in the Spring and 37 participants in the Fall of 2025. Since his arrival, Casey has had 157 total participants in PGA Junior League teams at Bermuda Run Country Club.
Golf Schools:
We currently offer Golf Schools of 2 – 3 hours in length at Bermuda Run Country Club. The golf Schools are comprised of different themes “Unlock Your Game” (full swing, short game, and putting), “Short Game Success” , “Putting Perfection” , and “Confidence on the Course.” These school are more specialized and cater to members who have a busy schedule and want to cover a topic over the course of a day. The most popular golf school conducted thus far is our “Confidence on the Course” golf school. This golf school takes place entirely on the golf course. This allows students to receive performance coaching as well as technical instruction. Many find it helpful to learn club selection, tee box angles, and pre shot routine strategies. I keep student teacher ratio to 4:1 at this school and 6:1 at my other golf schools. This allows me to charge a more premium rate and is better for the golfers as information is more customizable and they receive plenty of one to one instruction. In addition, I included a private YouTube Playlist to participants to review drills and concepts covered in the sessions.
LPGA Girls Golf Experience Day:
Casey has offered LPGA Girls Golf Experience days at Bermuda Run Country Club. Casey feels this is an important intuitive to offer at the club and looks forward to growing the event in the future. He offers a short clinc followed by a nine-hole par 3 scramble event for the girls. We had 6 participants in 2025.
