Carlos is one of the top young teaching professionals in U.S. In 2010 – 2011, he was named by Golf Digest as one of the “top 40 Best Teacher under 40 in America”, and in (2012-2013) Golf Digest awarded him again with the same honor. The African American Golfers Digest named him ” Teacher of the year”, the Avid Golfer Magazine named him one of the “Top 29 Teachers in North Texas” and in 2014 he was nominated by Golf Digest for the “Greatest Teachers in America Award “.
