Please indicate any Growth of the Game initiatives your facility/academy has launched over the past year (please give specifics on such programs):
In addition to our individual private lessons and resort clinics. Our facility features a very robust junior golf program. This season, with the addition of a new staff member, we were able to expand the number of participants in our junior program. This staff member helped us introduce an active junior golf fitness component to our program. This year we exceeded 150 juniors in our year-round Op 36 program. Additionally, we were able to offer twice the amount of summer camps with our summer camp participation nearly tripling 2021. We also saw the most growth in our Future 36 program (ages 3-6) with nearly 35 juniors enrolled in this program. Our primary goal in 2022 was to expand the capacity to meet the demand for the players we have had to turn away in the last 2 years instead of adding new programs and executing poorly. In 2023 we will be expanding our efforts with a robust offering of PGA Reach and PGA Hope initiatives as an anchor site for PGA Hope within the Mid-Atlantic PGA Section.
Please share any programming you have made to keep your customers & students engaged:
Within our Academy we keep our students engaged with several platforms. CoachNow is our flagship method of communication. This is a daily-used app that we connect with students over sharing of swings in addition to other content we create. We supplement this communication with the use of our Golf Genius and Op 36 app. This is the primary method of communicating in between in-person visits.
Our programming goal is to create 5-6 touches/visits per week, with 3-4 of those touches/visits being in person. Our programming is designed to create these touches within the structure we create using in person classes, matches(league) and supervised practice. This is the structure we use with any program we introduce. This methodology has helped us increase revenue in all outlets and experience significant growth in the key areas of merchandise, food and beverage, and overall rounds played. Additionally with the recreational nature of our property we are able to track revenue in hotel room nights and health club participation through the introduction of our fitness programs
