Please indicate any Growth of the Game initiatives your facility/academy has launched over the past year (please give specifics on such programs):
This year, we changed up our clinics and made them three-week-long classes. We had ten 3-week series for ladies covering topics like “Making Better Contact with Your Irons, Bombing Your Driver, Getting on the Green in One,” etc. In addition, we added five 3-week Short Game Clinics for 1.5 hours covering putting, chipping, and wedge play. We also continue our fifteen 1-hour Topic specific clinics covering putting (different topics, short putting, lag putting, basics), Chipping (High, low, when to use certain shots), and bunker play. Monthly, we would conduct themed clinics such as “Titos and Tee Shots, Whiskeys and Wedges, and Wine and Woods.”
Please share any programming you have made to keep your customers & students engaged:
Keeping our players engaged becomes a challenge during the winter months. I offered a Winter Coaching Membership from October to March this past year. Each student worked with me three times a month, and we covered swing evaluation, fitness, on course work, and club evaluations. Using Trackman, I could also work on club gapping and helping players tune in their yardages with each club, play different courses, and do on-course lessons with the simulator. My students like this because it keeps the club in their hands all winter and gives them time to work on their swing and/or golf fitness, depending on their goals. Each student had to commit to a minimum of 3 months during the six-month offering.
