Please indicate any Growth of the Game initiatives your facility/academy has launched over the past year (please give specifics on such programs):
In 2025, I launched a highly successful Home-and-Away Parent-Child Series in partnership with Landfall Country Club in Wilmington, NC. Each club hosted events tied to PGA Junior League, designed to get parents off the sidelines and into the game alongside their children. Both events drew 50+ teams, creating a fun, competitive environment that strengthened family engagement and participation in golf.
Beyond programming, I contributed several best-practice features to PGA Magazine, a Golf Digest article on “Gamifying Practice for Juniors,” and multiple YouTube videos with instructional tips to support youth development.
At my club, I organized a winter Putting Improvement Day, an indoor session using SAM PuttLab to help 15 players analyze setup, stroke patterns, and performance.
Looking ahead, I’m collaborating with the Carolinas PGA Section to develop a Junior Golf Summit for 2026, aimed at helping professionals elevate their junior programs. I also mentored eight associate PGA Professionals from surrounding clubs and PGM program, supporting them on their path to membership through hands-on experiences such as caddying during PATs, shadowing player programs, providing playing lessons, and assisting with club fittings.
Please share any programming you have made to keep your customers & students engaged:
I founded the Prestonwood Junior Golf Association (PJGA) to provide a comprehensive and engaging pathway for junior golfers ages 4–18. The program combines skill development, social growth, fitness, travel, and fun, creating an environment where young players not only learn the game but develop confidence and community.
Under this umbrella, I built a PGA Junior League program that has grown and evolved each year. To engage our youngest players, I designed a scaled-down Junior League for ages 4–7, which was later adopted by the PGA of America as a model for a national program. Each year, I work with hundreds of juniors, helping them improve their skills and find joy in the game.
My efforts also extend beyond the club. I helped create the SAS Junior, an annual tournament linked to our PGA TOUR Champions event, giving young players a professional-level experience. I volunteer with local high school golf programs, organize indoor putting clinics for cold-weather days, and lead member play days and day trips to promote connection through golf.
The greatest reward is seeing lasting impact. below is from recent letter from students parents:
“Coach Brian connects easily with juniors and adults alike, and his enthusiasm and knowledge of the game is inspiring and contagious. He helped make golf a lasting part of my life… Not only is he my coach and mentor but he is my friend.”
Finally, I’m deeply committed to constant learning and professional growth, consistently earning three to four times the required PGA education credits each cycle. I’m always exploring new tools, training methods, and technologies to enhance programming, product knowledge, and instructional excellence.
