RANGE PROMOTION:
Our best range promotion continues to be our Burger and Brew. Every Friday night in season we offer a bucket of balls, a burger and a beer for $25. We have two grills down on the range – the smell of the burgers on the grill is always amazing. We contact our local breweries who are excited to share their newest products with the community. Over the course of the 12-week main season, we usually have 6 different microbreweries on hand with the bigger companies – Alaskan Brewing, Midnight Sun, King Street – getting two weeks per season. It becomes a party vibe on the range with music playing and beer flowing. Quite a great time for everyone!

SPECIAL PROGRAMMING:
In partnership with the Wacky Women Golf League, we have an essay writing contest for junior golfers documenting the benefits of using the driving range, and why they should win a free range “key” from the course. We eblast out the contest just after the Holiday season to our database as well as through social media to inform the public. We significantly discount our range keys, and the Wacky Women pay for the remainder – so each junior who takes the time to write the essay wins a $280 range key (the Wacky Women pay us $50 per key, $6 of which covers the cost of the key). Last year we gave out 40 range keys. Between that program and running the Youth on Course, we have seen an uptick in the number of junior golfers using the facility over the last couple of years.

Special Olympics – we host the Anchorage chapter of Special Olympics on our range every Sunday morning, giving those athletes the chance to work on their game during the summer. We host the Special Olympics state competition each year.

Junior League – we host PGA Junior League both on the range as well as on the course.

Lastly, we do have a partnership with our friends at the Alaska Zoo. They borrow a dozen of our golf carts several times per year, on days that we do not have an event, and use them for the day at the Zoo. Handicapped individuals and seniors are driven around the Zoo, allowing them to enjoy what the Zoo has to offer when they would normally not have the opportunity. A great win-win for everyone involved.
