Wittek Acquisition of Eagle One

The lightweight and maneuverable EAGLE LITE was on display during PGA Show 2018

Last year Wittek Golf (P&W Golf Supply LLC) acquired the Anaheim, California-based golf supplier Eagle One. With nearly 100 years of combined service to the golf industry, the merged company released its first model of range picker done in conjunction: The Eagle Lite.

Part of the company’s Pro Line Series, Eagle Lite is the lightest, most durable picker in the company’s lineup and sets a new industry standard. It places less pressure and drag on the cart, which translates to greater maneuverability, faster ball picking and valuable time savings. It was debuted at the 2018 PGA Merchandise Show, where it was displayed on the show floor and generated lots of interest and sales.

“Range operators are going to love the Eagle Lite,” says Gene Pruban, coowner of P&W Golf Supply. “Lite’ meets might with this picker. We listened to what our customers were saying – especially those at smaller facilities that didn’t have room for full-size pickers. As a result, we figured out how to put enormous strength into a picker that weighs just 240 pounds. Range cleanup will be a lot faster from now on. This is truly the biggest innovation for pickers in the past 10 years. And they’ll love the price.”

The bearing-free Eagle Lite ($1,999.99) is 9 feet wide and holds 1,800 balls. It comes complete with a push bar and mounting bracket, 1 1/4” powder coated steel framework, plastic baskets, nylon discs, solid steel posts that help maintain level basket heights, and adjustable axle brackets. Optional durable, white nylon discs are ideal for ranges using soft-covered balls, as they will not scuff the finish off of the balls. Other upgrade options include a five gang that’s 15 feet wide and holds 3,000 balls, as well as a front wheel package for more maneuverability.

The new product release is an indicator that the transition and merger with Eagle One has been a smooth one for Wittek. “The idea of acquiring Eagle One just seemed to make sense. We operate on similar philosophies and share an intense customer focus,” adds Pruban. “We expect Eagle One customers to benefit from the expanded product and service offerings Wittek provides and look forward to serving them for years to come.”
