UST Mamiya® Introduces New High Performance Shafts And New Grips At 2013 PGA Merchandise Show, Booth #1931

UST Mamiya – maker of the world’s finest carbon fiber golf shafts and premium grips – will be introducing recoil™ iron shafts, the revolutionary carbon fiber shaft that will change how you think about your iron shafts, at the 2013 PGA Merchandise Show, booth #1931, Jan. 24-26 in Orlando, FL. The 2013 line-up will also include PROFORCE® VTS™, ATTAS™ 4U and ATTAS elements® MK. In addition to the new shafts, the Tour PC 360™, Soft Touch™, Soft Touch Lite™ and Soft Touch Wrap™ grips will round out the full line of premium grips.

These new products, as well as the company’s other established lines, will be available for testing at the PGA Show Demo Day on Wednesday, January 23rd at Orange County National Golf Center and Lodge. In addition, the Company will also make its new TOURSPX® CERTIFIED shafts available for club fitters to test.

Scrap your steel shafts, and make the switch to recoil™. Your irons deserve better and so do you. Recoil iron shafts are a new category of iron shafts that will change how you think about iron performance. Get better feel, better consistency and better accuracy with recoil – the first revolutionary carbon fiber shaft that doesn’t just change the game; it makes steel obsolete.

“Our new recoil iron shafts are better than steel, better than anything in the market. We are excited about introducing a revolutionary product that will make your irons even better. With our recoil technology, we are able to give golfers better feel, better accuracy, better consistency and longer distance,” said Robb Schikner, Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

PROFORCE VTS uses a proprietary 3DFitting™ system to match flex, weight and torque in order to increase ball speed by as much as 6 mph and decrease dispersion by as much as 30%. By not isolating shaft fitting to swing speed or physical strength alone, PROFORCE VTS shafts fine tune how flex, weight and torque work in concert to create distance, control and feel.

ATTAS 4U is engineered utilizing a stronger stable mid-section. The stronger stable mid-section reduces the amount of droop for more consistent contact with the club face for more control, while the tip-section helps control launch and increase ball speed. The soft butt and high modulus carbon materials enhance the feel and feedback for more consistent shots.

With the launch of the new ATTAS elements® MK shaft, UST Mamiya’s research to isolate the benefits of Mid-Flex Stability has led to the design and extension of the mid-section profile to enhance performance, reduce dispersion and increase ball speed. The result is longer, straighter and more accurate shots!

In 2013, UST Mamiya has moved far past the utilitarian aspect of grips to what the Company calls “Gripology™”, the science of feel. In addition to its already formidable line, Soft Touch™ and the new Tour PC 360, Soft Touch Lite and Soft Touch Wrap grips round out the Company’s complete grip family.

“Our grip line-up for 2013 meets the needs of our most demanding customers. We’ve embraced Gripology and the science of feel to create a family of high performance grips,” says Robb Schikner, Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

For more than twenty-two years, UST Mamiya has been a leading innovator in the high performance golf shaft industry. During that time, golf professionals around the world have recorded hundreds, if not thousands of victories, including multiple wins on every major tour. Paralleling its achievements at the professional level, the company’s shafts are the #1 selling aftermarket option in the United States the past six years.
