TruGolf Announces its E6 Cloud Availability

TruGolf, Inc., has announced that its revolutionary new software streaming service, E6 Cloud, will be available beginning in February 2015. The latest version of TruGolf’s award-winning software, E6Golf 1.6, will be available via E6 Cloud at that time for a monthly subscription. The software, compatible with most existing launch monitors, radar units or full-size simulators, can be pre-ordered to own at trugolf.com starting January 6, 2015, the first step of a year-long rollout of new features.

The newest installment of E6Golf, update 1.6, will be available for purchase and on display at the 2015 PGA Merchandise Show (Booth 973) Jan. 20-23 in Orlando, Fla. The software features updates to the existing version of E6Golf and include improved texture resolution which significantly upgrade the look of each of the courses; changes to the software engine lighting for a more life-like feel; and enhanced physics, making putting on a simulator feel truly authentic. The software is known for its accuracy, beauty, and a world-class course list that includes 30 of Golf Digest’s and Golfweek’s “Greatest Courses,” including St. Andrews, Pebble Beach, Oakmont, Royal Melbourne, PGA National, and Bandon and Pacific Dunes. Utilizing Cloud technology, TruGolf will provide consumers and commercial facilities with more frequent and more efficient software and content updates. Now, anyone with Internet connectivity has access to best-in-class golf simulation software, for a low monthly fee.

“TruGolf has the experience and knowledge to move our product quickly into this exciting new arena and take advantage of a trend that is occurring all around us. Core golfers and those new to the game will both be enriched by this experience,” said Chris Jones, CEO and Founder of TruGolf, Inc.

E6 Cloud powered by TruGolf is designed to unify all existing golf technology devices, creating an online golf community and meaningful virtual competition. Subscribers will not only have the opportunity to play nearly 100 world-class golf courses, but will also receive meaningful data about their swing in real time. By using E6 Cloud powered by TruGolf, players can improve their game, play world-class courses and compete with golfers around the world.

A virtual golf tour that is being finalized will provide participating members with exclusive opportunities and meaningful competition. Scores will be tracked throughout the year and participants will receive points and rankings that will be used to award prizes and provide recognition for the top performers.

Later in 2015, TruGolf will provide arcade-style games, brand-new courses and virtual coaching to subscribers of E6 Cloud powered by TruGolf. The software will be integrated with gaming consoles, television applications, PCs and mobile devices.

“The phenomenal success and revenues associated with e-sports give TruGolf, with its rich software expertise and state-of-the art technology, an opportunity to take advantage of a trend that is accelerating at a remarkable pace,” said David Ashby, Executive Vice President of Sales for TruGolf, Inc.

The HSBC “Golf in 2020,” report stated that people under age 35 feel golf can be time consuming, difficult and expensive and that “industry experts anticipate that technology will be the major driver in golf’s makeover.” That theory is further enhanced by the widespread growth of the online gaming market, which is expected to reach more than $36.6 billion by 2017 and has attracted the interest of large companies such as Amazon, Google and ESPN.

In an effort to take advantage of the expanding virtual golf content platforms and build on market leadership, TruGolf has engaged Landmark Media Americas to help craft the marketing and communications strategy for the introduction of its new Cloud technology innovations.

“TruGolf has the world’s best golf course simulation using TruGolf’s E6Golf Software,” said Bruce Lucker, the Managing Partner of Landmark Media Americas. “TruGolf gives golfers the opportunity to play virtually on the best courses in the world and the E6Golf Software via the Cloud expands that reach into a new dimension. More people will be able to virtually experience playing iconic golf holes such as No. 7 at Pebble Beach or The Road Hole at St. Andrews.”
