Tour Edge Announces Exotics EX9 Fairways and Hybrids

exotics.jpegExotics continues to earn the reputation of ‘leaders in fairway wood technology’ with the release of the new EX9 Tour. Following up on the recent introduction of the EX9 fairway wood, the Tour features a slightly smaller head designed for less spin, and a penetrating ball flight with an adjustable hosel for the player who wants to control every aspect of their game.

EX9 Tour’s Full-Speed Impact formula begins with a 150cc compact clubhead loaded with technology. The 15-3-3-3 metastable beta titanium cup face is combo brazed to the hyper-steel body for maximum distance in a fairway wood. The EX9 Tour model is Exotics first fairway wood featuring a cup face combo brazed with an adjustable hosel. Tour Edge engineers also added ‘sound ribs’ within the club head creating superior sound at impact.

The Tour features the Exotics SlipStreamä sole adding to the Full-Speed Impact formula. Redesigned for the EX9 series, the ‘waves’ are shorter from front to back, dramatically reducing the amount of turf interaction – the result is a full-speed explosive impact.

The EX9 Tour also includes a 9-gram center changeable weight insert produces a powerful, penetrating ball flight. The weight screw is adjustable and additional weights can be purchased as a kit or individually. The kit includes 6-gram, 11-gram and 14-gram weights to increase or decrease the swing weight.

Creating the ultimate ball speed generator, the Power Grid has been reengineered deeper and much more narrow to increase the spring-effect across all areas of the face. Notches along the back edge of the Power Grid provide thinner spots specifically designed to increase rebound at impact leading to faster ball speeds.

Available in 13, 15, and 17 degree heads, the EX9 Tour fairway woods have an adjustable hosel system. The newly designed hosel allows players to change launch conditions using eight settings and adding or subtracting one degree of loft. Players dial-in the setting that fits their swing and achieves their desired ball flight.

The Exotics EX9 Tour fairway wood has been specifically engineered to accommodate the heavier stock shaft offerings often chosen by players with higher swing speeds. The Tour model comes standard with the Aldila Rogue Silver 60 and 70, and the Mitsubishi Diamana S+, M+, and D+. Finished in an elegant metallic gloss and featuring a Black Lampkin Exotics UTx cord grip. Suggested retails is $299.99, orders can be placed now with a projected ship date of November 15, 2015.

exotics2Tour Edge Golf announces the introduction of the Exotics EX9 Tour hybrid following the successful launch of the EX9 hybrid. Preferential to players who love irons, the Tour model is an ideal replacement for long-irons and is easier to hit, control, and land softly on the green for the utmost performance.

The EX9 Tour hybrid design caters to players who favor using irons for workability, trajectory, and distance control. Engineers compacted the head design into a smaller, pear-shaped style with less spin and a more boring trajectory maintaining Exotics tradition of using advanced technology for maximum performance. The Tour clubhead size ranges from 111cc to 115 cc in three loft offerings; 16, 18, and 20 degrees.

Featuring a new titanium face plate combo brazed to hyper-steel body the EX9 Tour hybrid delivers Exotics explosive distance. The face plate embodies a redesigned Variable Face Thickness technology producing better results from more contact points on the face, especially on mishits.

The Tour features Exotics SlipStreamä sole redesigned for the smaller clubhead. The ‘waves’ are shorter from front to back and dramatically reduce the amount of turf interaction – the result is a full-speed explosive impact.

The EX9 Tour hybrid comes standard with the new UST Mamiya Recoil 780 ES shafts. The ES ‘Enhanced Stability’ provides for more control and feel. A stiffer mid section and butt produces better shot control while a softer tip improves feel and trajectory. The lower torque in the 780 improves dispersion.

The EX9 Tour hybrid is finished in an elegant and modern gloss black and is available in 16.5 (111 cc), 18 (113 cc), and 20 (115 cc) degree lofts. The standard stock shaft is the UST Mamiya Recoil 780 ES series, R, S, and X, and features a black Lamkin Exotics UTx cord grip. Suggested retail is: $199.99. Pre-orders can be placed with an authorized dealer, projected product ship date is November 15, 2015.
