rs, Tex-Net Inc. has been a trusted supplier of polyester, polypropylene and nylon barrier netting systems at golf facilities across the country. New for 2016, the company is introducing its first-ever movable teaching unit: The Pro Shelter.
Designed to provide teaching professionals with a protected area for private lessons while shielding them from the elements such intense sunrays or rain, the Pro Shelter has a 12×14 foot canopy, side skirts as well as sliding side and back panels.
Teaching professionals already utilizing the structure are experiencing a notable impact on revenues. “We have had the Pro Shelter for six months. In that time span we would normally lose 20 to 30 percent of our lessons due to bad weather,” says Curtis Kilpatrick, the PGA head professional at Indian Springs Country Club in Marlton, New Jersey. “We have lost less than 5 percent, and we are looking forward to teaching in the Pro Shelter all winter.”
For winter instruction, small moveable heaters can be used inside the Pro Shelter to create a comfortable atmosphere for your students. However, heating units should never be left on inside the structure while it’s unattended.
Available at a retail price of $5,995, which is well below the cost of larger permanent driving range structures, the foundation of the Pro Shelter is its CNC milled all-aluminum skeleton that’s easily and intuitively assembled. Large wheels allow smooth transportation from one area to another, and an anchoring kit ensures stability throughout its usage.
