SuperStroke Names Greg Sabella as Vice President of Marketing

SuperStroke, the leading oversize putter grip on tour, is pleased to announce that Greg Sabella has joined its team as the Vice President of Marketing effective immediately.

Sabella brings 20 years of experience in the golf industry to SuperStroke. For the past 17 years he worked for Callaway Golf in a variety of sales, product management and marketing roles, most recently as the Director of Marketing for Odyssey Golf and Callaway Golf Balls.

In his new role, Greg will be responsible for the organization’s marketing strategies, marketing communications, and public relations activities, both external and internal.

“I’m extremely excited to have such a tremendous opportunity to work with such a great company like SuperStroke,” Sabella said. “The SuperStroke brand continues to grow each year and is constantly bringing new and innovative products into the marketplace.”

In Sabella’s most recent position at Odyssey he worked with SuperStroke to market a 15-inch grip with an adjustable weight plug in the butt end of the grip. This allows golfers to add 5, 15 or 30 grams to the grip depending on the player’s stroke and weight preferences for counterbalancing. The grip is currently offered on the Odyssey Tank putter, which produced several wins on the tours last season.

He had eight Top 10 finishes in his second season on the tour and finished ranked 15th in the FedEx Cup standings and 13th in the Official World Golf Rankings. Dufner currently plays the 17-inch Slim 3.0 grip and finished the season with four Top 10 finishes.
