Rob Noel: Sponsor a Youth Tournament for Brand Awareness

noelRob Noel, a five-time Gulf States PGA Teacher of the Year and the 2014 Section Youth Player Development Award winner, GRAA Top 50 Growth of the Game Teaching Professional and Golf Magazine Top 100 Instructor, is the owner/operator of Rob Noel Golf Academy in Abita Springs, Louisiana.

Rob Noel on the importance of sponsoring a youth tournament for brand awareness:
For the past six years the Rob Noel Golf Academy has been a major sponsor of the Kelly Gibson Junior Golf Tour. In addition, we sponsor two tournaments on the Arrow Head Junior Golf Tour here in Louisiana. I sponsor these events to advertise my academy and help build brand awareness, as my academy’s logo and name are found throughout the grounds of the host venue. In addition to providing tee gifts (Rob Noel Golf Academy logoed hats, shirts and golf balls), I also donate one free golf lesson to each contestant. This provides me the opportunity to capitalize on new students and also make aware to parents and families to what my academy has to offer.

Rob Noel on the business impact of sponsoring a youth tournament for brand awareness:
The cost of sponsoring a youth golf tour event runs between $1,000-$1,300. Of the approximately 220 contestants who receive a free lesson voucher, each year roughly 20 contestants take advantage of this offer. This provides my academy an additional $14,000 in revenue through additional lesson packages, club sales and full-time academy registrants.
