PGA of America Announces Companies Participating in the PGA Demo Experience

Top equipment and technology companies are making plans to demonstrate their newest products and services at the new PGA Demo Experience, Aug. 18, at the renowned Cascata Golf Club just outside of Las Vegas. The PGA Demo Experience, presented by health and wellness company, Magic Nutrition, opens the all-new PGA Fashion & Demo Experience (formerly the PGA Expo), August 18-20, with a full day of golf events including a pro-pro tournament, short-game workshops, new equipment and technology testing, an indoor golf product marketplace and industry reception.

“When we had the opportunity to conduct a pro-pro tournament and equipment-testing day at Cascata Golf Club, which is a world-class facility, we knew it was a perfect fit for the new PGA Fashion & Demo Experience,” said PGA Worldwide Golf Exhibitions Senior Vice President and General Manager Ed Several. “Cascata not only offers a terrific championship golf course and range facilities, but has a tremendous clubhouse and plenty of space for a vendor village. Magic Nutrition, a health and wellness company, has joined the event as the presenting sponsor in advance of their August launch of the MagicMind™ Focus Enhancer drink. The new product is 100 percent natural, containing no caffeine and is created to provide enhanced focus, concentration and overall mood benefits.

All PGA Professionals and industry leaders registered to attend the PGA Fashion & Demo Experience will be able to personally preview and test new equipment, technology, training aids and accessories from leading golf brands and emerging companies during the PGA Demo Experience, 3:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. The event will encompass the entire Cascata facility and feature new equipment and technology testing at the range and short game greens, a golf vendor village, an indoor merchandise marketplace in the Cascata Ballroom, contests and prizes. Additionally, an industry reception will be offered throughout the Cascata clubhouse and grounds featuring professional networking, refreshments and live music by 2012 American Idol contestant Mahikumakani “Mahi” Crabbe and his band. An AGM 25th anniversary networking event also will be held in the Cascata clubhouse, 5:30 – 7:00 p.m., open to all AGM members and event attendees. PGA Professionals attending the PGA Demo Experience will receive 4 MSR credits in the industry participation category.

Instructional Workshops by Stan Utley, PGA
PGA Professional Stan Utley, PGA Tour winner and one of Golf Digest’s Top 50 Best Teachers in America, will provide hands-on short-game instruction during two one-hour sessions at the 18th hole of Cascata Golf Club during the PGA Demo Experience on Monday, Aug. 18. Workshops will begin at 4:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.

PGA Professionals will receive 1 MSR credit in the PGA Education category per workshop. Separate workshop registration is required. The workshop registration fee is $50 when registering for any additional PGA Education Conference session at the event or $125 as a stand-alone education registration. Discounted registration is available to PGA apprentices and PGA Golf Management University students. PGA Fashion & Demo Experience educational offerings are open to all attending PGA Professionals and industry executives. PGA Professionals have access to up to 25 MSR credits through participation in the PGA Fashion & Demo Experience. Registration is now available at pgalasvegas.com.

PGA Fashion & Demo Experience Pro-Pro Tournament, presented by Magic Nutrition
PGA and active LPGA Professionals in good standing will have the opportunity to compete in the inaugural PGA Fashion & Demo Experience Pro-Pro Tournament, featuring a purse of up to $25,000, with a $10,000 prize awarded to the winning team (based on a full field). The tournament will begin with a shotgun start at 9:00 a.m. Register at pgalasvegas.com.

Access to Cascata Golf Club for Attendees
Complimentary transportation to and from The Venetian will be provided to all event attendees. There will be no onsite parking and limited offsite parking at the club. Complimentary round-trip, dedicated shuttle service will depart from and return to The Venetian Tour Bus Area beginning at 7:00 a.m. for tournament players. Shuttle service will offer a return trip to tournament players and begin outbound service for the PGA Demo Experience at 2:30 p.m., continuing throughout the event with departures and returning trips every 20 minutes. The last shuttle departing The Venetian for Cascata will be at 8:00 p.m.
