Mizuno Unveils 2016 JPX-EZ Irons

Mizuno, a leader in iron technology and design, continues to push the boundaries of game-improvement cast irons with the second iteration of its JPX-EZ line. An evolution of the line first established in 2013, the new JPX-EZ irons fuse a Dual MAX COR pocket cavity with an enhanced Power Frame design to maximize distance and forgiveness without sacrificing the world-class feel golfers have come to expect from Mizuno.

“With the majority of products on the market today, ‘game-improvement’ means more distance while sacrificing forgiveness and feel,” said Chuck Couch, Vice President of Product Development, Golf Division, Mizuno USA. “We’ve long believed that our secret sauce is the ability to deliver superior game improvement irons that don’t feel like game-improvement irons, and that’s what JPX-EZ is all about.”

Mizuno’s unwavering commitment to research and development, and meticulous attention to detail in design has fine-tuned the team’s expertise to deliver game-improvement irons. This focus raises the bar for distance and forgiveness while delivering a feel not traditionally associated with the game-improvement category due to Mizuno’s H.I.T. (Harmonic Impact Technology), which strategically reinforces areas of the club to create the solid sound at impact that golfers crave.

Returning to a more classic clean aesthetic, the new-look JPX-EZ irons gives golfers the confidence to take direct aim, knowing distance and forgiveness will not be an issue. An industry leading “sweet area” combined with the hottest face, as a result of Dual MAX COR pocket cavity and Power Frame technology, delivers distance, forgiveness and the solid, powerful feel sought by golfers. Additionally, the JPX-EZ irons are designed with a Triple Cut Sole and beveled leading edge, along with a lower center of gravity allowing for an easier launch and greater playability from difficult lies.

The JPX-EZ line includes both Men’s and Women’s option and will be available for sale and demo through Mizuno’s Performance Fitting System (PFS) carts. The irons will be available at golf and sporting goods retailers in the U.S., Canada and Europe starting September 18, 2015, and the U.K. in February 2016.
