Mizuno Announces 1025 Boron JPX-EZ Forged Irons

Mizuno, a world-class leader in iron technology and design, takes its reputation for the highest-quality forged irons to a new level with its 2016 JPX-EZ Forged line. Boron-infused Grain-Flow Forged 1025 steel, the new JPX-EZ Forged rival the distance and forgiveness characteristics of popular competitor’s game-improvement cast irons, earning the distinction as Mizuno’s longest and most-forgiving forged irons to date.

Introduced in last year’s JPX-850 Forged irons, 1025 Boron provides Mizuno’s JPX-EZ Forged a 30% increase in strength allowing engineering innovation, like never before, in a Mizuno forged iron. A thinner forged face construction increases ball speed, combined with the largest sweet area in a forged iron on the market, JPX-EZ Forged will deliver a level of performance and feel suitable for players of every skill level.

“The implementation of Boron into the Grain-Flow Forging process has been nothing short of a game changer,” said David Llewellyn, Manager of R&D, Golf & Team Sports, Mizuno USA. “Boron has allowed our R&D team to literally push the limits of mechanical engineering and create a construction that seemingly defies convention, yet results in a level of performance that’s literally off the charts.”

True to Mizuno blue aesthetics, the JPX-EZ Forged Irons provide golfers the respected Mizuno look with a powerhouse of design including, an ultra CNC pocket cavity combined with a Power Frame. In addition to the unrivaled ball speeds, distance and feel, Mizuno called upon its H.I.T (Harmonic Impact Technology), a vibration management technology, to deliver the iconic Mizuno sound and feel players crave at impact.

The JPX-EZ Forged irons are designed with a Triple Cut Sole and beveled leading edge allowing for greater versatility and ball workability from difficult lies. The irons are outfitted with a True Temper XP95 shaft that delivers smooth and easy loading for a balanced feel with enhanced distance and control.
