Latest Equipment, Top Instructors and PGA Centennial Highlight 14th PGA Show Outdoor Demo Day

Hands-on testing of the latest equipment by golf’s best brands, instructional workshops by top instructors and an opening ceremonial tee shot to launch the PGA of America Centennial celebration will highlight the 14th PGA Show Outdoor Demo Day, on Tuesday, January 26, 2016, at the 42-acre practice facility of the Orange County National Golf Center and Lodge (OCN), in Winter Garden, Fla.

Thousands of PGA Professionals and invited golf retailers will preview the newest equipment, training aids and accessories from more than 100 top golf companies to create the world’s largest professional golf demo event. Throughout the day, golf teachers will be able to learn from some of the best in their field when PGA Professionals Michael Breed and Mike Malaska present one-hour instructional workshops and David Leadbetter offers a three-hour “A Swing” training course. Shortly after opening, the PGA of America will host a special Centennial program on the range featuring entertainment and a ceremonial tee shot by 41 PGA Section representatives and 41 PGA Junior Golf League participants, all captured live on Golf Channel’s Morning Drive.

Thousands of PGA Professionals, retailers and media traditionally attend the PGA Show Demo Day’s packed schedule of manufacturer special events and demonstrations, plus PGA Tour and LPGA player appearances. The PGA Show Demo Day is open exclusively to registered PGA Professionals and media from 9:00 a.m. to noon with invited golf industry professionals joining the event until closing at 5:00 p.m.

Instructional Workshops
PGA Professionals Michael Breed and Mike Malaska will present one-hour instructional workshops and David Leadbetter will offer a three-hour “A Swing” training course during the PGA Show Outdoor Demo Day. Additionally, a condensed FlightScope® Academy program will be offered at OCN that day. Workshop registration is limited due to seating capacity and available to all registered attendees on a space available basis at PGAShow.com.

10 a.m. – 1 p.m. “A” Swing Live Training Course by David Leadbetter, Tee #3 Pavilion
Since launching the first Leadbetter Golf Academy over 30 years ago, David has coached PGA, LPGA, and European Tour players to 21 major championship titles and over 100 worldwide tournament victories.

11 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. FlightScope Academy Certification Program, Tooth Course
All attendees will be Certified FlightScope® Professionals after the completion of the course and an online exam. PGA Professionals will receive 5 MSR Credits (PGA Required).

The 14th annual PGA Show Outdoor Demo Day will include a new opening ceremony televised live by Golf Channel to literally tee off a 100-day celebration marking the PGA of America’s 100th birthday. Beginning at 9 a.m., the PGA of America will host a special Centennial program on the OCN #3 Tee featuring entertainment and special guests. The program will conclude with a ceremonial tee shot by a representative from each of the 41 PGA Sections, joined by 41 PGA Junior League Golf participants.

Complimentary Shuttles will run from Orange County Convention Center (OCCC) to OCN every 20 minutes, 7:45 a.m.- 4:30 p.m. Shuttle transportation is strongly encouraged as parking is restricted. Vehicles without a parking pass will be directed to the auxiliary OCN parking lot. The last shuttle buses departing OCN for OCCC will be at 6:00 p.m.

The PGA Show Demo Day, organized by PGA Worldwide Golf Exhibitions and PGA Magazine, is presented by Yamaha Golf-Car Company. Exclusive event sponsors include CHAMP/MacNeill Engineering (tee), FlightScope (registration sponsor), Oakley (registration sponsor), Pukka Headwear (hat), Sun Therapè Pro Sport (skincare provider) and Yamaha Golf-Car Company (golf cart). PGA Professionals will receive 4 MSR credits for participating in Outdoor Demo Day.

The 63rd PGA Merchandise Show, held Jan. 26-29, 2016, in Orlando, will welcome some 1,000 top golf companies and brands and more than 40,000 industry professionals from around the world to the industry’s annual global summit for the business of golf. The PGA Show Outdoor Demo Day, the world’s largest professional golf testing event, will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 26, at the Orange County National Golf Center. During PGA Show days, Jan. 27-29, at the Orange County Convention Center, PGA Professionals, retailers and industry leaders will uncover the latest trends, source the newest golf merchandise, test the latest equipment, learn proven business best practices, network among peers and move forward the business of the game.
