Andrew Heiberger opened Flagstick Golf Performance in October of 2024 to offer memberships and daily play to golfers who want to improve at the game of golf. Located in Boynton Beach, Florida, Flagstick Golf Performance has Foresight Sports Falcon and QuadMAX launch monitors that work with GSPro simulator software to enable golfers to practice, compete and socialize in a comfortable climate-controlled environment.

Heiberger, a PGA of America Golf Professional and a member of the inaugural class of Golf Range Association of America (GRAA) Top 50 Clubfitters, also offers customized coaching programs, expert fitting and club repair services, a state-of-the-art SAM PuttStudio and a golf club trade-in program that allows his golfers to upgrade to the latest golf clubs from the leading equipment manufacturers in the industry.
“We have an expert club builder in Jon Eggleton,” Heiberger shares. “Jon has more than two decades of experience doing high-level fittings and club building with several OEMs in the business. Also, Mike Nelson helps keep our day-to-day flowing smoothly with my attention being so focused on our very busy club repair, custom fitting and coaching business.”

Heiberger started playing golf when he was two years old and always considered golf to be his number one sport. He remembers attending junior golf camps back home at Fairway Golf Center, a two-tiered golf facility in Piscataway, New Jersey. He says they had a large retail shop and a menu of services that covered everything a golfer could need to increase their enjoyment in the game. Those early experiences had a huge influence on his career choice and ultimately on his decision to open his own indoor golf business. He was always interested in the equipment side of the business.
“I grew up playing Tamarack Golf Course, a municipal course in East Brunswick, and the Rutgers University Golf Course after my dad got me into the game,” says Heiberger. “He had just started playing when I was little. I was a pretty good competitive junior golfer in New Jersey and would attend the PGA’s PGM Program at Penn State University.”

Before college, Heiberger played in high school and learned about the PGM program when he was in 8th grade. After college, he spent a decade at Woodmont Country Club working for David Dorn when starting out and at The Peninsula Club in suburban Charlotte, North Carolina, for three years after that.
Although he considers himself an effective coach and instructor, Heiberger always preferred custom-fitting and the impact that a quality set of golf clubs can have on a golfer’s game. In fact, he attributes much of his success to his club-fitting, repair and building skills.

Flagstick Golf Performance is a reflection of that passion. Heiberger models his business like a Tour van — many components to choose from and fast turnaround so customers don’t have to wait for their product. He believes that sense of urgency is a differentiator that makes his customers feel special. Serving all levels of golfers makes that even more vital. Whether it’s someone’s first set of clubs or they get a new model every year, Heiberger and his team take as much pride in the service they provide as they do in the expertise and experience they share. In fact, they do club fitting and repairs for upwards of 30 area courses that see the value that Flagstick brings to their own members and golfers. That attention to detail and service comes from Heiberger’s private club background, as he is not driven by attaining every sale, but instead by securing every relationship. Whether it’s throughout his customer base or within the South Florida PGA Section, those connections are what drive revenue and secure the sales throughout the year.
