By Golf Range Association of America
Hillcrest Country Club in Los Angeles, California was already a top private range in the country before deciding to renovate its practice facilities. The 7th Trackman Range facility in America, Hillcrest offers a Par 3 short course adjacent to its 330-yard range and 18 holes of regulation golf for members.
The video above takes us through the improvements Hillcrest made in its recent renovation, done by golf course architect Kyle Phillips and architect David Smith of Golf Projects International, and gives us a good look at the GRAA Top 50 Private Range’s facilities. The upgraded range, short game area, putting green and teaching facility have increased Hillcrest’s business and turned the Range House, with a viewing bay for parents to watch juniors learn the game and two club fitting studios, into a social hub. Check out some quick facts about the amenities and services offered at the award-winning facility below.

Best Range Promotion:
Hillcrest chose their Operation 36 program as the best range promotion of the year. The club hosts monthly clinics for juniors and women’s golf. In 2020, they plan to promote their range with a Drive, Chip, and Putt event and a short course experience. A Trackman Simulator and putting leagues will also be added to promote growth of the game.
