Golf Fitness Association of America Launches Sept. 2 to Enhance Business Opportunities for the Industry

Huntingdon Valley, Pa. (September 2, 2020) – The publisher of PGA Magazine today announced the creation of the Golf Fitness Association of America (GFAA), a new organization aimed at helping golf professionals and fitness professionals grow and manage their businesses in this growing segment of the golf industry. The announcement was made by PGA Magazine CEO Richard K. Summers and President Brian Folino.

“As golf and its players focus more on health and wellness, we are creating the Golf Fitness Association of America to bring together the thousands of leaders in golf and fitness to share their ideas and learn from each other,” Folino said. “We are excited and proud to spearhead this new organization and grow the number of golf facilities who offer fitness, health and wellness programming to their customers. The new GFAA platform will focus on the business of golf fitness, helping bring together fitness and golf professionals to work closely together to both improve the businesses they each oversee and to operate with the health and performance of golfers in mind.”

The mission of the GFAA is to facilitate environments where golf and fitness professionals can network and share best practices with their peers – all at no cost to GFAA members. This will be accomplished through a variety of programming and content platforms, including an e-publication Golf Fitness Monthly, weekly best practice emails, www.Golf.Fitness website, in-market Boot Camp events around the country, virtual events and access to an industry-leading advisory team.

To guide this new effort, a GFAA Advisory Team has been created. This diverse group of 25 PGA Professionals and golf fitness professionals will share their expertise and help guide the GFAA and its members in developing programming that will help grow golf fitness businesses and provide insights on new trends in the industry.
